Advanced Neural Circuit Disappearing

I spent a significant amount of time farming Advanced Neural Circuits, but I've noticed something strange. Despite my efforts, every time I go to conduct research, I'm always short by one when attempting to craft Crystallization Catalysts. Is it just me, or is something off here?

Could it really be just a coincidence that this has happened four times in a row? It's starting to feel like there's more to it than mere chance. SMH

You can farm them easy on
White Knight Gulch/Borderline of truth.
On HM they give you almost enough for one catalyst in one mission. Just stock up on them there, do like 15 missions, it only takes a few minutes per. Just get a bunch therefore you won't have to worry about being one short.

Yeah maybe I am just going crazy I normally run them in Fortress outskirts

Thanks for the tip; I know how easy they are to farm. My issue, though, is that every time I go to craft, I always find myself missing just one. It's strange how it's always just one short. Also, I noticed that White-night Gulch Fortress Outskirts seemed to have a better drop rate. I might give the Borderline of Truth mission another shot to see which location drops more.
