The last dagger is certainly living up to it's name (drop rate)
Now this one is odd, aside the Peace maker which I am yet to get The last dagger is the last ulitmate weapon I need to max out... When I'm completing a ultimate weapon I will usually get all the same (4x) components I need before moving on to the next component

Now I've certainly been on component part runs which have far exceeded the medium when it comes to the probably of getting something. A number of times that 20 or 25% drop chance item has taken over twenty drops to get. But in general the vast majority of 20% drop chance items I have generally gotten within an average of 5 runs per copy of a part. I few times I'd been lucky with first run first drop.

The Last dagger appears to be something else. Compared to the Thundercage, this weapon seems to take a lot longer to get the parts.

- When I was farming the Thundercage there was only one component which took me over 20 runs before I got one part, I had already got two copies of that part and then it was another few runs after to get the final copy I needed of that part.

-The last dagger, took me on average about 4-7 runs per Polymer Syncytium to get, there was a good twelve run gap between getting the second copy and third. The synthetic fiber took 4 runs before I got the first copy and then it was 25 (twenty five) runs before I got the second and the immediate run after that I got the third copy, At which point I just moved onto the next part, something seems off to me at this point... I got two nano tubes on the first two runs of the next mission I needed for that part, and nothing on the third run. So I moved onto the schematic for the gun just to get the crafting process started as I farmed the rest of the parts I needed for this gun. After 20 runs I lost count, each run takes about a two minutes to do and over the course of about four to five hours in total here and there, still nothing and I was only ever joined by one mastery level 9 player throughout those four to five plus hours working on this single schematic....

My gut tells me something doesn't seem right, did I miss the memo or something? The notable thing about these runs is aside the Polymer Syncytium and one run for the gun's main schematic, I was never joined by another player! Granted, not many players in the early normal zones.

I looked up the last dagger drop rate and sure enough there is a single reddit post on the matter from over a month ago. It's also mentioned in this forum around the same time, so unsure it's the same person...

Right now it looks like The Last Dagger will be the Last weapon I ever complete

Update: 30 minutes after posting the original post here

I restarted my computer. All that farming for the Last Dagger main schematic was done after a single computer restart.

I remembered what someone had said to me about their experience with drop rates, was that after farming for hours for something and not getting it, he would stop, go to sleep, and try again the next morning. And on the very first attempt he would get the drop he was after. This has apparently happened to him on three separate occasions.

So what the hell? I'll just restart my computer...

Now, Instead of using Bunny as I had for the many hours prior, I switch to Viessa. I select the main travel point as opposed to the quick travel point closest to the mission I need to farm for the schematic. Upon loading in to the zone, I'm being followed by a player with a long sequence of simplified Chinese words for their name. He types something in Chinese I have no idea what they wrote... I proceed to my mission still with this player in toe. I check the socials to see he is mastery level 8, so new player or relatively new... Start the mission and off I go, the guy joins, no schematic. I F2 and R to restart the mission, and the other guy takes off to somewhere else on the map. Three more runs, I decide not to F2 & R and just run back to the mission buoy. Not sure if it mattered but I did get a schematic finally... As I said I lost count how many runs I did, but given the hours I spent on it, I would not be surprised if it was way over fifty but under hundred runs!

I proceed to do more runs seeing if I could get a quick drop like I did with the nano tubes. Nope... eight runs later than I got my third main schematic drop... At this point kinda exhausted so I will return to this at a later date if I even care to....

Sometimes this kinda stuff will just knock the whack outta ya!

But given what I described here, if you are having problems with a particular drop, you might want to bare in mind what I recalled about a friend said about his drops chances after trying the following morning. Probably best just to stop the game and return at a later date!

I had the same thing happen. I was stuck the mission where you stand in a circle getting bombed for over two hours. I think I did that mission about 25 times. Probably more.

I only recently started tracking my runs, but mostly for 20% parts so far. Setting up to go after and track a lot more stuff, so I'll see how it goes. Did get a 3% Ult Valby (?) part in one shot, which was neat, but have also needed a dozen or more runs on 20%. Mostly seems reasonable, but I do worry about outliers - especially when particular components get named in complaints from multiple players...

If you're talking about the Last Dagger part, that would have been the synthetic fiber drop.

You had to clear a bunch of mobs on the way to that area, activate a terminal, kill a few more mobs, destroy an antenna and then run around a bombardment area killing three different yellow named bosses to complete the mission. It's good for farming those red neural thingy ma bobs needed for crafting as a result.

Yea, after getting my first copy of it, it took over 20 runs, I believe it was 25 or 26 before I got a second copy of it. Then got a third copy on the immediate run after I got the second one!

Yea for the most part it does seem to fit the actual drop rates that are stated.

The problem I have is I do not always to keep a record of drops I got really quick! Like within the first two attempts. So I don't have a full set of data for everything I have obtained. But I have near enough farmed everything now to max out all the descendants and ultimate weapons barring the peace maker.

So for outliers, the last dagger seems to have more of them than any other thing I have farmed. I did have to go over 30+ runs for one of Ultimate Lepics parts that had a 10% drop chance... And there was one piercing light part at a 10% drop rate that needed a good 27 runs to get the first copy! Fortunately the next four copies of it was no where close to as bad as needing 20+ runs to get each one

It's because they hate drone escort. lol

I really really think you guys are just , I don't know. Looking too much into it. Creating a problem of doubt for yourselves. I mean The dude was worried about being stalked by a Chinese character player. lol it was significant enough for him to mention it.

I wouldn't say worried, cause I had other players follow me around in newbie zones. Just compared to before this was unusual, as I stated, the whole place had been pretty empty the whole time I was farming for the schematic, during the first stint of four to five hours, I probably only saw a dozen or so players enter the zone do a mission/outpost and leave. So in a way I was surprise there was even someone in the zone, never mind following me around.

Thing is I don't really rule any thing out when it comes to Nexon, so all I know he could have been following me and hacking my drop rate! Ultimately I don't know, as I said I have no idea what he trying to tell or ask me.

As far as I am concerned cause he joined in that mission, could it have had an impact on my drop rate of the schematic. I simply do NOT know, but I wouldn't rule it out! Some call it paranoid, or crazy, I call it keeping an open mind!

It's pretty paranoiac to be concerned about the drop rates if you ask me. I suffer from paranoia in real life. I'd like to think I can spot it. Maybe it's just how I read it.

Believe me, I got to hold back all kinds of weird things because of this disability.

well if it helps, my old man I would call paranoid or at the very least borderline paranoid, if not that, he's very distrusting of people, so perhaps it rubs off on me a bit. But a problem recognised is a problem half solved I say, so hopefully your own situation doesn't get you down too much... not sure what I can say other than I wish you well.

But yea this run on the last dagger schematic certainly had me really questioning the drop rate. Everything I done up to this point I was like yea sure there are some things that seem to be on the ends of the probability bell curve. But this one seems way way way out on the end! To the point I went to check if anyone else had the problem with this very specific drop.

Aside the reddit thread I mentioned, there was a youtube video on getting the drop, the video doesn't show the user actually getting the drop and there was a single comment on it "so you didn't get the drop either?"

I'll be blunt, at this point I wasn't sure if the mission drops got broken because of the nerf to the yellow named bosses.

I've yet to go back for the other remaining few parts I need to finish maximising this weapon, but I'm just gonna give it a few days, this has totally exhausted me this one! No hurry as I have nothing to do until the next update as I don't really care for getting the peace maker!
