That's somehow in the same direction that I reported back at the last Weekend!^^
The Energy Activators are in need of something that's named "Conductive Metalfoil" (?) or something in this direction, I hope you got me right ... lost the track .. Oh, yes ... Okay, so I'm in need of 25x this metal foil, to create one of these Activators, right.
The Dropchance of the Blueprint is 3% and I got 4 of them while I played ~130hrs ... I got 15x the Foil in the same playtime!
That means that the droprate for the foil must be lower than the droprate for the blueprint right?^^
I did the maths and for me it's 0,9375% - excellent!
Even with 100 times the playtime, the droprate would not scale upwards to 93,75% @13.000hrs (doing the same stuff that I did whithin the 130hrs of gameplay of cause... not specific grinding for the foil to be correct) - so ... what the F is this?!
Answer - shortly "it's a loot shooter"
Yes of cause it is, but to make it clear "REMNANT 2" that I played as well is also a Loot Shooter, but the difference is - I can unlock everything by playing ... no Greed For Money ... No Activator that I could buy for 25€ instead of 13.000hrs of gaming!
13.000hrs = 541,67 Days
541,67 Days = 1,5 Years of Real Gametime... to be honest TFD-Team you must be kidding...
I got like 4 of them and i dont even want them, while going for weapons. As soon as you stop focusing on it you will get it while trying to get something else :D
Those metal foil can be got pretty easy from those vaults that need the round ball keys. Once you get Enzo you can open the boxes easily and have an unlimited supply of the metal foil. You noticed they are hard to get via drops... so that is to prompt you to find a different way to attain them.
I am randomly doing stuff now if something drops fine if doesnt meh i move one o.o I have gotten blueprints for Activators and Catalyst like this >.>
For example, you can't obtain more than 2 of the 4 final pieces to create an ultimate weapon in the same day, even with a 3x % of getting it.It's never going to happen.
But that also means that if you want a 3 or 6% item just check what ultimate weapon is there too,go get the other 2 final parts of that weapon, and that way you lock that weapon chance to show up,that means a lot more % of getting the low % items.
I have been using this trick for a week now and it "seems" to work very well. I look at the Amorph and see the items that "I do not" want and add those items to the track list. This "seems" to make the actual items I want from the amorph drop so much more often.
Use a 100 sided dice and simulate 5 runs, or 5 dices. Do it 6 times. See how many 1 to 6 you get....
Now simulate 30 runs, or 30 dices. Do it once. See how many 1 to 6 you get...
Try 100 dices as a finale.
Fyi, my sweet spot , pseudo luck, is to run 20 runs in a row for a 6% drop chance to get 1 drop. lol. At 30 runs in a row, I seem to get two drops. I tested out 3 runs for 10 times, I get zero or 1 drop. Quantum universe, random mumbo jumbo. :)
Since then I started to collect Luna, the 1st 2 tries I had 32% to get her drop, but instead I got 2 more U Gley 6% parts. :)
