I would take less than a minute to just look it up.
This appears to be an article from TheGamer:
https://www.thegamer.com/the-first-descendant-has-lost-70-percent-of-its-players-since-launch/
It's a legitimate game news website, but it's credibility has mixed reviews. Seems like some real news and some clickbait.
Fake news.

Warframe most recent 24 hour peak 52k

The First Descendant most recent 24 hour peak 62k players.
If TFD has a little less players during SOME hours of the day, that is because TFD is probably bigger in Asia than Warframe and the peak hours of these games do not happen at the same time of day.
TFD is a Korean game, Warframe is Canadian.
Warframe has been going through a boost due to recent content addition in July, it's still coming down from a spike to a 100k peak caused by that new content.
It's actually going down to even lower peaks than it had before that July update, something must be going wrong in Warframe if people are unhappy with the new stuff.
Don't get why WF players come here to dump on the game, I enjoy both games. They each have things they do well and not so well.
They already disqualified by comparing TFD with once human, the games are absolutely different and the wipe did not happen yet. Once the first wipe happened on once human, many players will leave there too.
I'd love to speak to "bunny defenders" after this game will have less than 10k players.
Besides, most games do not retain the player base for a long period, especially new live service games.
This site had an article on July 6th with the title "The First Descendant's Lack Of Hard Mode Matchmaking Has Killed The Game Already". That was 4 days after release.
Another article from them on July 3rd, "The First Descendant Players Are Already "Done" With Its Monetization". One day after release
Another article, "I Need To See Way More Smoke For The First Descendant's Stolen Assets" from July 11th. I remember these allegations. They went nowhere.
This site has a real axe to grind with this game. Honestly, it feels like that site just lifts all the rant posts on here and post it as actual news and say the whole fanbase feels this way. Hell, this post might just be a clever way to gain traffic to their site.
Warframe is a Canadian game, TFD is Korean.
The trajectory for Warframe is actually worrying, it's got that "get woke go broke" risk going on.
So TFD should cater to Asian gamers, noted. Still should be a red flag seeing how young the game is.
