Crit Rate
If my (edit: skill) critical hit rate is (Max) 100%, why would I almost consistently be getting white hits instead of critical hits? (This is with my Absolute-Zero Viessa's Blizzard skill)

The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
All enemies have critical hit resistance so the real critical hit rate you have is:

Real Critical Rate = Your Critical Rate * (1−Target Critical Resistance)

Most Colossi if not all have a really high crit resistance, Lava Citadel for example has 50% so Viessa with AZ only has 50% chance for critical hits in that fight.

would going over 100% help?
I've discovered when doing vep10 that if I go over using arche tuning she seems to deal crit dmg more often especially against the boss.
It does still happen that she would "miss" 2-3 times in a row which is quite annoying but that seems to happen even more often without the arche tuning.

No, you can see in the stat screen, the crit rate cap is applied for descendant before it is calculated with target crit resistance,
However, we can reduce crit resistance.

there is a module called Analysis Master that reduces colossus crit resist
but i dont think there is one for all the other bosses

Unfortunately, it's only for weapon crits...

It is old but it should still be valid. If an enemy has 50% crit resist with that 25% it would only bring it down to 37.5%.
