Yes, you are probably right. Crash after 2 runs is a good indicator for high temperature in the case.
CPU, GPU, motherboard and SSDs might run on limits so there is simply no spare space left.
@Dreadnought and @feihuzhiying: I would add some new fans or at least check the air flow direction of the existing (maybe it could be optimized in order to follow the right physics).
As a first step: try to reduce the CPU usage to 95%. The energy customization powercfg.cpl provides option to do so.
