Some things never change...
Take a few months hiatus and come back, patch the game and less than 30 minutes in it's crashing again. Multiple times now.

ASUS ROG Strix B650 MB (Fully updated bios)
AMD Ryzen 9 7950X
RTX 4080 (Fully updated drivers)
64 GB of RAM

Playing at the games recommended settings. No Nvidia on, nothing. This should not be happening.

Crash, crash, crash...

Sounds like there is something wrong with your computer.

The game has been running perfectly fine on my hardware.

Can't tell the cause of the crash with no logs.

5 year old AMD processor. 5 year old AMD graphics card, 16 GB ram. ancient HD technology (but hey, my OS is on ssd). I crash about once a month, and tbh it's probably hardware or windows related.

You may need to update your drivers. Pretty much the same specs and the game runs fine for me.

I"m playing on a 2019 Razer Blade laptop with 2080 -MaxQ and idk even know the cpu on windows 11 and I don't crash - I can however cook steak and eggs on this thing though.

it's warrrrmmmm

HDD or SSD?
Power supply? 1000w or better?
Windows 11 updated?
Background programs running? Interfering antivirus?

I don't know- over 500 hours in game and haven't had any crashes so it must be on your end... No crashes on PC and no crashes on laptop that I use when travelling...

I'm playing on what people call ancient hardware at this point (gtx980ti, 8gb ram, i7 6700k, and a cheap mobo) and I can't remember having an actual crash since beta. Something's up on your end.

Useless. All this stuff is generated after the crash.
DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG doesn’t tell you anything about the reason for it.

Do you have overclocked hardware ?
Northguard Nov 17, 2024 @ 2:43pm
No. Optimal settings through BIOS. I turned Global Illumination down to low and set the max FPS to 60 and it hasn't crashed yet. We'll see.

The errormsg is usefull.

#1 if you use Geforce Experience: check if Shadowplay is enabled (if so disable it)
Howto: https://imgur.com/a/turn-of-shadowplay-gfe-3-0-jsVQu
(it’s the “share” option)

#2 check in BIOS if the RAM is running in XMP mode (if so, reduce the RAM speed by 200MHz). NB: there is always an entry to do so… this does not disable the XMP profile, so go for it in order to stabilize the RAM access!

#3 Install “HWMonitor_x64” and run it in background. Check how the temperatures behave. There is a MAX column for CPU, RAM, SSD and GPU. So, you can check if the cooling is appropriate. If not check if the fan is installed correctly as the air direction matters. Add new fan or two if needed. recheck temp...

Is the game on SSD or HDD? Most of my issues came from having the game on HDD.

Shouldn't be an issue. 7 year old PC here, 1080Ti, Ryzen 7 1800X, and game runs 80-100fps (with frame generation), everything on ultra.
