Question about what it means to be AFK farming

If there's a small farm and there's already a Bunny doing it quickly, I will help out by just standing by the mission restart button and pushing it when the mission is done. That speeds up the farm.

I'd rather contribute that way than get in a fast Bunny's way and slow them down. I'm not AFK ... if you chat with me I will answer, but is that what is being talked about? If not, what does it mean?

What you are describing is not afk farming, provided you actually act if an enemy enters the mission area etc.

Afk farming is people entering, for example, a dungeon and just afking by the entrance, or entering a Void Intercept, Albion Resource Defense etc. and just stand around doing nothing, leeching exp and all.

You don't move from the spawn until the game pull you straight into the boss fight because other folks ran the full distance.

Pretty convenient if you ask me. I don't understand why 90% of players don't use this tactic.

Personally, I would be fine with that. What irks me is people who afk in the safe zone and just wait for the mission rewards to roll in.

I will go out of my way to stop farming and report them.

If 3 people afk in a private party and 1 person carries them, that's totally peachy because that one person will be fine with it. Nothing wrong with allowing your friends to leech.

Same can be said for the leveling spot in HM in w-n gulch IDC if a couple people park in somewhere and leech cause at least that way they are not in my way and slow down the rinse repeat process.

The only issues there is if people do not "abort mission" after the first part. I have only had issues with afkers twice and both times I just aborted and went to private.

As a pro bunny AOE farmer, I prefer no one else get in my way at the outdoor mission farms. I'd rather have all 3 other players at the mission starter, restarting the mission for us all as soon as it ends. Every minute or so, they can take turns running around looting, but otherwise leave it to the bunny.

Don't get me wrong, if they want to fight alongside me, I let them do it. I will kill the first batch of mobs that spawn, then I avoid the 2nd spawn area so the other players can kill something and get onto the mission team, so they get XP and LOOT. I am not going to kill steal everything and force people to sit at the mission starter if they don't want that.

HOWEVER, if they insist on killing ♥♥♥♥ with me, it just slows us all down.

I agree 100%, I feel like when the Bunny has the max distance on their skill and everything dies even before it spawns, the only thing I can do is get in the way

Again blame the dev that made bunny otherwise people woudn't be complaining about AFK farmers, who the F cares any way you went in to farm something and your working for it who cares if some random joins and sits there doing nothing. If you dont like it then hop on a private lobby and you wont have an issue *shrug* the game litteraly promotes either pay up to progress cus the drop rates are beyond terrible. Or sit afk while a bunny does the job for you.
