Hooking to the raid bosses?

Pls help I remember something about this in the tutorial but I forgot about it and only ever saw 1(ONE!!) person do it in-game. How do I do it and what does it do?

When a breakable piece turns yellow, if you are close enough to it you can grapple on to it. Then use attack to break it. Also need to use left stick to not get thrown off by the boss.

The targeting is also very bad, since the collossus move so much. Sometimes it is better to aim slightly above the part to hook to it easier.

If a hookable part turns yellow use your hook to get close to it. Press LMB (repeat) to attack it and if the Boss tries to get you off hold RMB (i think it was RMB) to not lose grab stamina. Once a part breaks the boss gets a buff which prevents a next hook which last for around 10 seconds. During this 10 seconds buff timer all hookable parts turn white.

Never have I once been able to hook any yellow part. The circle doesn't enlarge and the hook doesn't work. Idk maybe it's a skill issue

Hook up to one of the towers above, it's easier to hook down than up.
