Zone recon mission farming is a miserable experience

20% chance of an amorphous material which has its own RNG of the thing you might be after, top that off with a 5 min cooldown in-between and it's just incredibly unfun. Really would love to see a change to this system. Either reduce the cooldown, raise the drop rates for amorphous materials or simply make it an instanced mission. I'd much rather sit through a 5 second loading screen instead of standing still for 5 mins sitting on my phone

I know about that method. Sometimes the cooldown resets, sometimes it doesn't. Honestly either way, it's a tedious solution to an extremely flawed mission type if you ask me

Don't bother grinding for things until you reach hardmode and unlock alternate/ more efficient grind methods. Also Sharen is mandatory in order to access infiltration mission rewards.

YOU don't necessarily need Sharen. Having a Sharen in the group and letting her do her job works just as well.
As long as a Sharen stealth-disables the generators first, everyone else only has to hit one of the monsters to be part of it and get the full rewards, including the stealth-only stuff.

The game has handed out quests for me to grind out materials for the different ultimate guns so I was under the impression tryna grind them out early on is a good idea. I guess I'll take your advice when I get on tomorrow. I also heard hard mode has no matchmaking for instanced missions. Is that true? Might make farming those out a bit of a pain the ass

It *was* true, but they changed that really early on with a hotfix. Hard mode instances have matchmaking now, worry not!
