Why did the "Witch" title get changed to "Mage"?

I noticed after a recent patch that my title is now Slumbering Mage instead of Witch, Witch isn't even an option anymore ;-;.

Edit; Answered: I get what they're going for but I don't like that feature, though. Seems very unnecessary and just strange to lock what they think should be gendered to the corresponding characters regardless of how the player may want to use them

Yeah probably, idk if this was the case before but there isn't a single feminine-leaning suffix atm. Emperor but no Empress, etc. Unfortunate.

I was curious so I looked it up on reddit and also tested it. The title changes based on the gender of your character.

Empress is there, you just need to be a female character to see it.

There are - sadly - a lot of weirdly translated titles in the game. I'm talking from a perspective of a person who uses both English and Russian text translations, due to some people that I interact with about this game being either Russian-speaking or English-speaking exclusively.

For example... I wanted to put up a silly "Eternal Farmer" title for myself when I saw it in English version. You know, cuz the farm is eternal... :D But then I switched to the Russian version and noticed that "Farmer" got turned into "Крестьянка", which is literally a "Peasant" instead of a "Farmer". And definitley carries a very much different meaning behind it, yeah?

Then I tried another one, this time around from the Russian side - "Неспящая", "Unsleeping"(if translated literally) or at least "Insomiac". But nope, English sets it to "Insomnia". Like, the actual thing itself - insomina, the sleep disorder - not the person who suffers from it, an insominaic, yeah? But... Why?

And I'm pretty sure a lot of other titles are like that across all the language translations too.

Empress is there, you just need to be a female character to see it.
