Is Divine Punishment good?

I researched one and levelled it to 100. The DPS seems low... Is it any good? What are the best assault rifles?

DPS number ingame is deceptive. Especially on Ultimate Weapons. Take a look at the unique abilities. All Ultimate weapons have them.

It's a supporter weapon, where you get buffs for yourself, if you give buffs to other players, heal them or debuff enemies. So if you do none of that, then rather take something else.

As for "best", that mostly depends on your char, your playstyle and what you feel comfortable with. Fallen Hope for example fits Freyna quite good, since it's a poison based assault rifle. I'm not so familiar with rare assault rifles though, so i can't say anything about them.

Shotguns in this game suck ass. The falloff range is just too short. You can be standing at a boss's feet and shoot up at his shoulder and lose half your damage because the range is too far. Dont waste your time.

Yeah which is why I pretty much stand right next to them and shoot them in the leg or crotch. It seems to be working out alright.

Well, the picture of it looks good.

As for drop rates...... well they are not so good.

No it really isn't that good. Thunder cage outclasses it by a lot.

Its the tamer, and its a purple one. Not even a legendary weapon.
