Having wipe mechanics is totally fine, but i agree randoms are stupid as f so you will have a realy bad time. The amount of times there was a bunny but ignored all flames was just dumb.
I assume that will change in a month or so though as everybody will have min-maxed bossing builds. Let's just hope that future bosses are less of a pain or they introduce proper mechanics to deal with it.
Oh and I agree on the RNG a lot. It's stupid that the boss can run into you, drop a flame in that moment and it spawns on you so you just lost without anything you could do.

Not just for Frost Walker but all the mandatory group bosses.
It would prevent people from Leroy Jenkins-ing in without ever responding when you ask if they know the mechanics.
In other team oriented games you usually can retry the boss with the same group if you wipe. That incentives people to teach each other, since if you wipe, you're more likely to win the 2nd time with the same group after explaining the fight, than rolling the dice again with new randoms.
In this game however you can't do that. Every time is with a brand new group, so no one even bothers to explain the mechanics. Not to mention the encounter starts as soon as you load in, so theres no time to explain anything anyway. You might as well just go next as soon as you see you're not going to pass the check.
If they're going to keep going with obtuse mechanics like Frost Walker's, they really need to have better grouping systems in place. A mmo style party finder would go a long way, a "ready up" phase before the fight, and let you retry with the same group. Otherwise no one is going to learn without looking up a guide, because there's no reason to teach, and the mechanics don't explain themselves.
