Farming amorphous materials from outposts is EXTREMELY tedious.
How can a dev team design a farming process that requires players to stay idle for 5 minutes after clearing astrategic outpost??? You spend less than 30 seconds clearing the outpost, gets nothing, then wait 5 minutes to try again???
FFS design this again...

teleport back and forth on another map, most time the outpost is up or has a timer less than 2 minutes

Or you run 20~30mins long missions for another similar AM that unlocks the material you need... 5.5 mins versus 20~30mins, hmmmm...

There's a teleport option to get new instances where it's still new or has lesser timer.

I don't like it either but the thought process behind it is probably that they want us to do the void shard ♥♥♥♥ after the outposts and the reactor inbetween.


One method to get the ulti lepic code is to get the amorphous mat from a outpost... Then farm void shards to fuel the reactor to have a chance to get the code from the amorphous mat you farmed at the outpost on the same map.

All three missions can be done within the 5 min timer. The loop still sucks tho since void shard drops are so low.

Go to the outpost. Stealth it out using Sharen. Switch to Hard mode on map and use the nearest teleport. Then either go into the hard mode outpost and clear it too... or just switch back to Normal difficulty and teleport to the same location where you're standing.

Do this and you don't have to wait 5 minutes. Only the loading screens, which are way faster.

It's because they have a higher drop % than the ones from missions and this keeps player play time up.

Like the post above, most of the time it works for me in hard but there are instances that the timer will be back to 5 mins. Repeating the process resets it back to 5 mins. However, go back and forth between Albion and outpost tp seems to fix it.

Have been grinding AMs for Lepic's code today for several hours. Never had that happen to me. Strange. Not saying it doesn't happen though, just never had that happen to me in a several-hour-long grind.

Im doing the Vesper Supply Depot Outpost grind atm. There were like 2 times that the timer was around 2 mins when I switched difficulties out of, idk, maybe 15+ runs. I went back to Albion and back to Vesper, outpost is available again. Then I do the difficulty swap until it breaks.

Farming for the morph is one thing, but the drop rate on it is rigged. Been grinding Vulgus strategic outpost for enzo enhanced cell in about 8hours now and only got 12 morps. The enhanced cell had 38%, but magically i didn't get a single one and got 11 smithereens blueprints which is the other 38%. Maybe im just horribly unlucky on this one but it doesn't make sense getting the same BP 11x straight.

This is what I was thinking! I maxed out my Ult. Gley and had to get Sharen in order to amorphous mats for Python. It's tedious doing the outpost missions AND the void fragment WITH a specific descendant to farm for opening up the boss gates. I'm all down for repetitiveness, but this type of farming just kills it for me.
