MAKE DEATH STALKER SOLO ACCESSABLE
I dont know why the hell we have a boss that forces you into a lobby with other players. Normally this would be preferred, but you specifically made this boss unable to be solo'd for SOME REASON???

I'm tired of trying to do this boss for Hailey's scout rifle and getting lobbies of people under level 5 dying instantly and having to cycle lobbies because no one bothers to learn the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boss mechanics and yet SOMEHOW GOT THIS FAR.

Not only is there 0 reason this boss CANT BE SOLO'D.
If there IS somehow a "reason" why you cant, why the hell do you not just tune it down to make it solo able??? Not a single boss before now forced this bs and yet Death Stalker is the outlier.

DONT MAKE A BOSS WHO'S MAIN DIFFICULTY IS KILLING IT BEFORE THE RNG TEAMMATES DIE IN THE FIRST 10 SECONDS. THAT'S ♥♥♥♥ DESIGN.

I have already been in 20+ lobbies of this fight, and only completed 2 of them because the teammates die, and then rage quit because they aren't being hard carried.

When the next boss comes the current top one will be nerved, and after that solo will likely become a possibility for DS as well.

Happened in the past like that anyways.
Most new and casual players, that are the majority, don't want to spend the 2 weeks or around 20 hours it takes to have their first descendant and first weapon fully build to kill all bosses, and in case of DS is worst since its the only colossi that requires a shield build which most people don't have when they reach him the first time and also are not willing to equip a "carry me" build which is pretty cheap, it costs only 3 catalyst and an energy activator which I think pretty much every player that reached DS should have but for some reason none of the casual players run it.

It also doesn't help that he does not drop catalyst blueprints so most players that have proper builds to kill him pretty easily and even carry others don't play him anymore since since everything else he drops from AMs or loot like frost watcher you only need to get it a few times so once you have those things there is really no reason to do that fight anymore.

In case you find this helpful, in my experience from when I was running this boss a few months ago is better to never try to run it "solo" since, like you already realized, most of the time you get grouped with 3 players that suck. The "easiest" way to counter this is to play with a least a friend, one running life barrier Ajax (yeah not shield Ajax, not sure why people even run him since that makes him useles in my opinion and in that case you are more helpful running Enzo instead) and the other one running Yujin without duty and sacrifice so his 4th skill does not lose purification. With those 2 you can carry pretty much any players you get as long as they stay inside Ajax barrier bubble and know how to jump the ring attacks. Another pair you can try is Ajax life barrier and Enzo but in this case Ajax's shields won't be as durable due to the lack of purification from Yujin but the advantage is that you will have a lot more damage with Enzo.

Perhaps what would be more enticing to experienced players. Would be to have scaling material drops. Harder content (or boss in this case) more drops of needed materials. Things like the materials needed to craft cores for example.

It does seem par for the course though, this experience. In every way. Growing pains?
You can even mark locations for mechanics and people still don't pay attention. lol

Personally, I don't think I'll ever run DS.

I have no reason to. The only thing unique it gives is Frost Watcher which is questionable.
On top of that, I am pretty sure that by the time we reach season 4 or whatever, there will have been some event where you can get blueprint rewards again, with updated choices, where you can pick that very same gun from as well.

They did the same thing before.
These weapons are being released in waves.

First big event only included the base Ultimates as an option.
(wave 1 was already in the game but could only be earned the normal way)

2nd big event where you could pick had base + the 1st wave new weapons as well.
(the 2nd wave was already in the game but could only be earned the normal way)

The 3rd event, we havent had yet, is likely to include base + wave 1 and 2.
(2 including Frost Watcher).
(with wave 3 being in the game next week, can only be earned the normal way).

I think the choices will always be 1 wave behind the last release for obvious reasons.

Since I already got every other gun, at least not getting Frost Watcher from DS, gives me something to pick during those events.
So ...I think I'll just wait it out rather then deal with DS solo or grouped.:steambored:

lol I only meant that as an example, it could be anything really, but there is no other material this game has to offer for the set of colossi rewards on hard difficulty other than catalyst blueprints that have to be farmed constantly and the main point was that there is no incentive at all to try this boss once you have everything he currently drops.
Yeah new players don't intend to follow the mechanics and just ignore them and then expects the players who've played TFD for a long time to do the carrying.

I stopped helping other players fight DS because all they do is ignore my advice and the mechanics.

Most of the formerly co-op required Colossi (Hanged Man, Obstructer, Frost Walker, Molten Fortress, and Gluttony) were redesigned relatively recently to enable solo play, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a Death Stalker redesign as well once the devs figure out how they want to tweak his mechanics. IMO, having the spawn count for the doomsday clocks (the spinning discs that insta-down a nearby player if not captured in time) scale with party size might be all that's really required mechanically, apart from adding 1-3 man health and attack values for Death Stalker himself (in addition to the 4-man values he has now).
For ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles I tried DS again today for like 1 hour and a half and totally see what you mean, now is even worse than before since most of the time I got under leveled players and the worse times I got level 20ish or level 1s that went afk as soon as the battle started just waiting for a hard carry.

Seems like you are new. All high level bosses were party-only.
But than they made solo kid mode.
Probably they will nerf DS soon too.
But DS is the best team Colossi so far.
There is no dumb mechanics like Fortress or Gluttony.
So if team fail, it is their own fault.

Wait to unlock Serena, she can deal 200 mi damage with Restored Relic in less than 40 sec without weapon cores. You'll get your revenge.

I have lost count of how many Ines players i have seen dying in those 10 seconds in this boss (for some reason, every Ines fan conveniently omits this part of their playing experience), then having to do it with just one other team mate because the rest ragequit (my praise to every Yujin, Freyna, Bunny and Ajax that stuck to the end).

I've had 10 more ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lobbies of people who show up under leveled, playing absolutely ♥♥♥♥ characters to fight against this boss (Jayber, Lepic, *cough cough Gley*). Who all either instantly quit after 10 seconds because they aren't hard carried...

or just cause the lobby to fail because they all die four times in 20 seconds.

I'm so sick of this ♥♥♥♥. Just start banning them at this point I'm over it.
Either level cap the boss fights so people cant go in at level 1 and suicide lobbies...
or just start banning people for game play sabotage. Its literally DEATH STALKER. HOW DO PEOPLE GET PAST GLUTTONY WITH THIS BS.
DS is still okay as for me. The worst experience with bosses i had was unsoloable Molten Fortress back then...
