Looking for Ideal fps settings
Every time I run content with an Ines on my team my frame rate tanks, I've been experimenting with different settings in game but nothing seems change the fact that when Ines is in the party, frame rate leaves the chat, its a slide show.

I'm running an RTX 3060, a i7 9700k and 32 GBs of RAM.

I had the i7 longer than the 3060, is hardware my issue or do I just need to switch a setting in game?

Somewhat, not completely. The big spike in things it has to do all of a sudden remains.

even if you had the best gpu or cpu money can buy the game will still run like trash no matter what you try or do unreal5 is very badly un optimized and epic refuses to fix it every game that has come out so far on unreal 5 has had this problem and it never got fixed sadly.

Yea, I did notice UE5 games seem to be hard to run. I have issues with "Remnant 2" as well.

Its ines problem (+ue5), her skill effect+too much damage calculation happen concurrently overload the game engine, i have similar setup except the cpu (12600kf), and ines keep destroying the fps. Also for setting you might want to try newest nvidia driver + app, use optimize setting and then (in-game setting) lower the Global illumination, shadow, reflection object, vegetation, visibility as needed. (Ps: if the app cause problem try borderless windowed, or disable the overlay, or unistall the app after you use the optimization)

Processor likely struggling. I recently changed to Ryzen 5700x from an i5 10600K and things got a lot smoother. Medium settings probably your best bet for a 3060.
9900k user here. You need to switch to a new PC entirely like I need to. A number of newer games and UE5 titles use way more CPU than we have to give. My 3090 would be fine in most cases if not for heavy CPU bottlenecks in Albion or heavy fights.

i locked my frame rate at 60 , and turned on vsync .. i dont ever have have any problems, no lag, no frame drops, amd 6750 xt, amd 5800X3D .. I could unlock it to go higher but the noise gets a little loud from the video card. It looks fine to me, i dont need washed out fake frames and ray tracing. id rather see decent graphics with out them so i leave them disabled. I have everything set to medium and have global illumination set to low .. i know you dont have amd .. but maybe this will help you with your fps ,.. good luck ..

Lock fps to 60, disable effects for other ppl in team. Set all settings to low, but textures high or mid. DLSS on, performance. Frame generation off, RT off. Window borderless mode.
If you have 6Gb on your 3060 instead of 12, probably you will need to lower resolution.

If you are in Albion , switch to your inventory immediately before you go afk or whenever you can . Its the worst area to be in for your PC specs
