id say as long as the dev willing to listen and improve the game then its fine, the player will reflect that , not every game is a gem at the start some are rough but its the dev job to improve them and make it better as the time goes
and im here simply giving my trust as long as dev stay listening
As of TFD, they are doing good. But you can't play this game all day long, because there are simply not enough content yet.
So it is useful to have another side game. Not another grindy one, though.
There is no ranked mode whefe ppl will compete with each other for better score/time. That new 30 stage mode is what we need if done right.
There are some good 2025 games coming this year. So TFD must deliver good updates to keep ppl playing.
Ines in about a week and a half, new female fire descendant in the future, new ultimate, new fellow, I think something added to this season but can't remember what, Season 3, New Years cosmetics (I want the Chun-li looking one), etc.
On the other side i do think i have more free time to play my single player games XD so i dunno i do want more but not too much so i think it is hard even for them to see how much they should add.
What I worry about is the overall content because the player base leans far more on the casual side. Something like a traditional multiboss raid is going to be impossible for most people.
I see the future of this game grim. How will it do in 2025? Bad, realy bad if something does not happen. Way too many people who were interested in the game initially left for reasons, and those reasons have to be found, remedied and fixed.
or this
and the devs keep listening to them, nothing will be done, because they will not search why so many people left the game, thus not find it, thus not be able to fix it, and the ship will go down.
The game is #77 in Steam bestsellers rating currently and it'll do just fine, especially when the devs will add coupe more gals and "hotsprings" costumes
The Good: We know they'll pump out skimpy costumes so they'll continue to make decent money off those who stick around. It turned out the difficulty reduction in VV was a bug and it was returned to normal, so if they stick with actually having good mechanics for end game and the new tower is decent there's potential. VV will likely stay the main source for the pets and will bring people back again with Ines in a week or so and it's a step towards having farm content that doesn't make eyes bleed from boredom.
The Bad: On the other hand the new crab like the old ones is a cheese fest and not good design and the rewards are meh. Invasions are still boring and only worth running for the quick gold and to get through the RNG for Hailey which most vets already have. The other repeatable content isn't really all that engaging. If you have descendants that are poorly suited to it then it's a slog trying to kill everything but it's not hard. If you have Freyna or Bunny you breeze through it.
The Ugly: Bugs are still rampant and a large number of players don't have stable sessions. Freezing and crashes tied to UE5 are rampant right now and there's no ETA on a fix. The game is still on poor footing in terms of what it's going to be so it could go in any direction.
And the numbers are bad. The game isn't even hitting 5% of launch numbers on Steam despite more content and at a decent start at QoL fixes. The new season just launched with the game in the best overall state it's been yet it's fallen out of the Top 50 for both PS and Xbox. Let's not pretend it's in a good spot or where it could be if it weren't for so many poor decisions.
that is where WF has this game beat, is the player trading hall.
the rotating show in TFD is stupid, it's not what they promised, we still have to wait insanely long rotation times to MAYBE get the part we need.
This game is an okay looter shooter still in it's infancy but imo most of the players have a bland gaming pallet that craves pvp/ battle royal types of games so they would be satysfied with any update regardless of quality. I have sunk in over 30 hours so far and find some of the mechanics a little weak but the potential is high. Warframe has scratched my itch in the meantime.
