More like not playing 3 specific descendants issue but yea, sure.
I got to Void 30 as Ajax btw, without cheating.
The only one stopping you from building and playing as:
Blair (people are sleeping on his gun build)
Gley
Hailey
Enzo
Lepic
Is you.
people dont have 150+ hours to build every descendant in the game and people are sick of the devs forcing them to play the devs way and not let them play there way when the devs stated in there vid 2 days before tfd dropped they made the game so you can make your own builds not the devs way builds and play your way...... ya that was a lie and now they look like hypocrite and you saying brain dead takes like this is not helping its only making things worse plz stop.

Oh, no worries too. Content will keep getting nerfed. With the advent of the skill tree, easy peasy for everyone until the next whine train content.

Gley is OP cuz of infinite ammo, thats a given.
Hailey is OP cuz she can 100 percent crit any gun, plus, freeze all the things, and cold dmg.
Enzo not really needed as much anymore due to Ammo drops being doubled.
Lepic? Why the hell would we need him to gather mobs up at all? Gley's laugh at this with their piss launcher covering up the entire screen regardless of what settings you turn off and on.
But I got to and thru 30 as a Support style Ajax. Wasnt easy, needed Perfect X's on all my guns, but I managed it. Still B.S what I had to painfully go thru that 99 percent of players, absolutely would not do, they will either not do the content at all, or roll either a Hailey or Gley.
Blair? Who the hell would spend any time or resources on him now that his ult is coming out? Obviously they are gonna make Ult Blair OP at something. Hes probably the only other character I would enjoy playing, so when Ult Blair is out, I may try him out regardless what he may or may not be good for. I wont play him out of some artificial difficulty b.s nessecity.
End Note. I should be able to do any and all content with the character I spent 17+ catalysts on making various module loadouts on em.
VEP is artificial difficulty at its worst, and most of the people on the leaderboards, especially solo, cheated onto it anyway. Leaderboards was a very stupid decision, they should not have implemented it. Just gives another source of frustration and ofc, a Witchhunt for the players on it.
Regarding the entry level requirement...I was going to explain in detail how is not that hard, it probably only requires around 15 to 20 hours to most casual gamers to clear stages from 1 to 30 for the first time, once they are at endgame content ready, but no matter what I say the usual trolls on this forum will say that is BS so I rather not put the effort.
Side Note: I'm not a native english speaker but I think most trolls in here don't know what they mean when they say "artificial difficulty" since LITERALLY every PvE game created until today has artificial difficulty with no exceptions, an example of a game without artificial difficulty would be any PvP game so what I think they mean to say is lazy difficulty since thats what I consider bullet sponges to be. I may be wrong on this one but like I said, I'm not a native english speaker.
Another note: I also agree that farming cores gets boring after a while, specially with having only one stage 30 to do it efficiently, I think they should have added parallel stages for level 30, one for each faction, with different maps and with the option of choosing the rewards you want so if you want to focus on farming green cores, for example, then you can choose green cores at the start and then the boss at the end would drop the usual 2 core X and 3 or 4 core IX green cores at the end.
You don't have to build every descendant.
You just have to build 1 more that can do the content.
2-3 hours to farm up all of the parts to craft one of those descendants.
The advanced stabilizers that were give out for free making getting the "low %" parts quick and easy.
20 minutes to level to 40.
8-10 times
so thats another 3-4 hours.
Takes maybe 10 hours at most to get a new character up and going.

It was build around using different descendants for different aspects of the game.
That is just the current state of the game.
I am sorry you only want to use one and only one character.
But worry not. Due to your complaints they are going to homogenize all of the characters so they can all do the same thing equally well.
And when you complain that all of the characters are the same with a different coat of paint... just remember you asked for it.
Because they are adding in an item that lets you upgrade your normal version descendant to the ultimate version descendant. Transfers their activator and catalysts.
It was on the road map.
Your forgetting catalysts. and each descendant needs at least 7 of em for a full build, sometimes 8.
And the transfer thing only helps one descendant to its ult. And who knows what thats going to cost, or if it will even be obtainable without paying for it.
People keep forgetting what company is behind this game.
That or they have no experience with the company behind this game.
They wont just make it easy.
The 150 hour part is literally how crap your RNG may be.
I seen people open up 100 patterns and only gotten 8-10 catas out of it.
You know how long it takes to farm 100 patterns?
Let alone if its not boss patterns, which can take longer to farm than outpost patterns, and to open, you gotta then farm the Shards to be able to open them.
And that 7 to 8 catas is only for one specific build, what if you need multiple loadouts for that character? Easily can go up to 14 or more catas. My Ajax has 19.
Nexon needs to stop avoiding the issue, balance the descendants, and make proper content. All they did with VEP is make artificially difficult content that completely relies on what descendant you use, and what weapons you use with said descendant and what happens to be on it. Skill is barely a factor.
The only times Skill was ever a factor that I seen? Was when I went into Void 29 by accident as a Level 4 Hailey, and proceeded to not only doing more damage than the lv 40 Hailey, Gley and Lepic that was there, I outsurvived them and never went down once, while all 3 of them went down several times each.
Cuz you know, I know how to actually dodge crap, spite Im a Ajax Main who could face tank it all, I still dodge better than these guys who shoulda learned how to dodge this ♥♥♥♥, hundreds of hours ago.
Nexon needs to do better, and soon, but thing is? I dont expect them to. Why? Cuz Vindictus 2 is coming, and once thats out? Over half of their dev team will be focused on that. Rinse and Repeat, milk TFD until less than 5000 players are playing it, then off to trickle content maintenance mode they go while they full focus their latest game.
They did this for over 20 years. It just baffles me theirs still, so many people who didnt know that.
But well the most failed subject in Highschool for many in both Western Europe and the United States, is History Class. No one wants to learn from History, thus why, people dont learn from past B.S these companies make, and so they keep getting away with it.

and like you said you need most of the time 8 or more of those catalyst to fully build one descendant and those catalyst takes 8 hours to make all so on top of all of that so if you run out gg you have to wait for a good bit for the mean time untell you have enough to use and the same for the guns to even its alot of time consuming but this smart as dont want to understand why and thinks everyone has hours on hours on hours to just waste on a mindless boring grind that they never made funner.
like man these blind fanboys forget people are not asking for the devs to nerf everything into the ground and make it baby easy mode how about do what destiny 2 did and give us a difficulty sider and boom the people that want a challenge and get pushed up onto a wall and claped alot can have that type of challenge and the casuals can have there fun and chill this is what people are asking for is give us that freedom of choice you promised before tfd came out so people can use the descendant they love to play the most or what gun they love to use the most and not feel like they are being forced to run stuff they dont want to use this is what people are asking for to have that freedom and choice back i just hope the devs realize thats what people want and not nerfing everything to hard into the ground and make the game unrewarding and boring af because thats 100% what people do not want because i dont want that i some challenge not baby mode easy.
So what you are saying is that you are hung up on Nexon and their past behavior and wont ever change.

And you are correct. Catalysts can be a huge bottleneck for a lot of players.
