Hopefully we will see more people use Luna =p
Too bad there is Bunny/Valby already, who do the exact same thing, but without having to manage anything. Yes, I'm talking about the rythm mini-game that Luna has, while Bunny/Valby just both click one singular button to get the exact same results. But also better, because without all the extra hassle.
I would like to enjoy damage-Luna myself. But... Why bother in the current form, if Bunny/Valby exist? No amount of "good building" would remove the fact that she has that extra layer of nonsense that others don't.
All down to flavor.
Bunny takes no thought process.
Valby has to keep reapplying AoE's everywhere.
Luna has to play a mini game.
Your flavor, your gameplay style, same outcome.
"Only"?
That's not squishy at all.
Was about to say lol. My Valby is 10k hp and 21k def. You ain't squishy.
Bunny/Valby can do the same, but without extra layer of nonsense about it, with a press of a single button. That is a fact. You can't dispute or call it "opinion". It's a literal fact. There is nothing "preference" or "variety" about it. It's a cold hard fact that Bunny/Valby do the same, but without the need for some constant mini-game, all with a press of a single button. It's a fact.
So why bother with Luna, if Bunny/Valby exist, who can do the same(and better), but with less investment in terms of gameplay/input needed? Let alone in terms of catalysts investment too, especially if compared to Bunny.
There is no reason/incentive to play Luna with extra layers, if a much less investment-heavy Bunnny or Valby can do the same or better. Luna brings nothing else of her own to the table in return for that extra investment. You'll be just playing a "worse version" of Bunny/Valby, that's it. And that is indeed still a fact, not preference or opinion.
Like I said, Flavor.
Why make viessa out to be an AOE ice queen when Bunny exists? Why work on Blair to burn the world down when Bunny exists? Why try and make Freyna relevant? Etc. It's just play who/how you want to play. If OP has fun playing a minigame to do the same as someone who doesn't, let em.
When I see this mod, I realize that the build sucks. Seriously, a bunny is four times stronger, then what's the point?
Blair = for fire fragment void shard farming. But I actually prefer Lepic for that, I think.
Freyna = for poison fragment void shard farming.
Blair and Freyna are both just... bad. While Viessa has her special uses, but she needs heavy investment of catalysts first. And Bunny/Valby will still outperform all of them in terms of simple "mobbing". That's becuase both Bunny/Valby exist for that exact role. They are best at it. They are the best tool for the job. You can use other, less efficient tools, but... why? It's like using a hammer on screws - sure, you can do that... but there's an electric screwdriver for that, you know? While hammer is used for nails instead, for a different job.
Same logic applies to Luna. Sure, you can make her into a "mobbing" character. But Bunny/Valby will always outperform her. Not only by mere stats, but also by the fact that they can do the same thing with a press of a single button and nothing else. While Luna requires the constant mini-game shenanigans.
That's not opinion, nor preference or flavor. That's a simple fact.
There's just no place for supports.
We have characters like Luna or Enzo that are designed to be of support, but the game is designed in such a way that you don't need any support.
Same goes for Ajax. I grinded both the regular and ultimate and I couldn't find any reason to play them besides the mastery.
What do I care if Luna is lowering my cds? I'm gonna have them adjusted where I want anyway because I never play with a Luna. Extra skill power? That's nice but how does that compare to having another guy doing DPS?
Why would I need a tank when I'm already adjusted to be able to survive alone?
I don't see any place for characters that don't just do lots of damage.
So we get Luna built as a DPS, even thou it's pretty obvious it's neither intended nor useful, but it's the only way to actually do something with the character.
Not by chance, I think, the 2 builds I found immediately googling for Ajax were "immortal Build", basically stacking survivability way beyond any necessity, and "Bunny Ajax", focusing on skill cooldowns, power and range.
That's a critical issue that generates situations like this thread imho.
You cannot fix that , you cannot buff that , you cannot go around that other than actually changing her tool kit entirely which won't happen cause that not part of her gimmick.
