PS: To clarify the message from previous statement in more civilian way: If someone wants to play a couple of missions with friends shooting lots of mobs he (obviously) starts coop shooter. If someone wants to spend his own time solving a couple of riddles he (obviously again) starts a puzzle-game.
I still can't get what was the point to mix that different things in one box. What for? Will it bring new players in the game? - definetely not. Will it help to hold current players in the game? - 've some doubts.
PPS: All aforesaid is just a personal opinion. No offense. I'm just disappointed with new patch - there is still nothing to do in the game - the old content is completed, the new content (at this moment) is looking weird :(
But as far as time spent and speed running, it is probably one of the most rewarding content in-game. I enjoyed it.
I agree the new game modes mix things up a bit. I found my Freyna to be exceptional in Tower Invasions, but quite weak in Platform Invasions, making the invasions accommodating to more characters, but Bunny is still essentially the S-Tier choice for Invasions.
She can traverse quickly, basically just nuke everyone while jumping on the platforms in Platform Invasion, and run around instantly destroying all the growths to reveal the symbols in Tower Invasion.
Though Freyna was S-Tier in Tower Invasions as well. Her poison was busting up entire pillars of growths at a time, allowing for very quick symbol reveals, making both my runs gold runs.
However, I think Platform Invasion is going to be much better suited for tanky characters who can sit still while the platforms unlock, and not taking too much damage. I see Ajax being a S-Tier in this one, assuming he has enough damage to kill the boss quickly. The boss in Platform Invasion was tanky as hell. The Tower Invasion boss was squishy as could be.
Either way, the complaints are aimed more towards the repetitive, fairly boring mechanics of these new modes, and how many times we will have to do them to unlock Hailey.
No really, it's just an addition to the current content. Nothing more, it's not interesting but it's only like 4 run per day
problem is you die before you can complete the puzzle and even then you need to stress think wile being ganged by enemys
I play Blair and lepic, I understood the mechanics and completed the first missions.
But I still find it boring and annoying.
So your theory is wrong
so cool and different bro
nah he's cool, unique and different, amazed us with his genius take by going against the stream and defied all of us!!!!
But then the other one.... oh boy...
Second time I managed to get gold on it (had a miserable bronze first time trying to learn it) but that mission puts so much stress on the player from multiple angles it's simply unfun no matter which way you look at it.
All the constant mob spawning, the time constraint, the need to look out for pylons and where the drones are at, the need to keep track of symbol order and then on to find the stupid robot strolling around amidst all the chaos and his clones (and if he's turning away from you you see the symbol order mirrored rather than always facing you)... then that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boss on top of it all and he's active from the getgo rather than hibernating until you crack his shield...
Nothing but pain, that one. No amount of skill or build minmaxing will spare your mental sanity.
