you need and want the materials you get from dismantling

there are other sources that will give you plenty of gold

Mark as junk and dismantle for materials to make stuff like Fine Adjustment Control Axis (rerolls) and Precision Phase Exchanger (item level transfer).

gold is infinitely more abundant than the resources from breaking them down.

a full inventory of lvl 100 items just yields about 40k gold, it isnt worth it especially you can earn the same amount in a minute or two by speedrunning certain missions

You will end up having more Gold than you might ever need, can't say the same about the things you get from dismantling
