It's okay, it's not particularly great - but it's not terrible either.
The loot system is annoying, all the extra parts - reactor etc.
It's all too much, doesn't need to be like this.
not too much not enough if anything could use skill trees

Id say i agree. Im sick of 10 year old division and destiny and warframe. Its got no competition if it goes for new games.

I wouldn't say so ... not looking at monetization , just pure gameplay loop it could stand to put more work. missions are too long and tedious for what it offer there are map variety yes but they lack substance , outpost 80% chance to get nothing and have to wait 5 minutes. (which i heard is getting reduced time while actively removing the ability to just hop from map to reset first). Void Fragments have to be grinded atleast 4 times before you can take your resources to the Void Reactor for 70%-97% to not get what you're looking for. Requiring Elements for Void Fragments specifically from skills rather than weapon element or anything. The character balance is a mess. I don't mind bunny nuking or valby aquariums but other characters are just left behind and that isn't right. One of the more expensive characters Yujin? Absolute horse dung of a kit. The mission "enjoyment" is gone after normal mode ... having to go back to maps with bad mission rotations to grind materials is miserable , like Hagios , Agna Desert these maps are barren because the missions are so miserable. Actually someone gave a perfect example of what missions we have:
Guide this robot for 4 minutes then wait for 2 while spawn camping enemies for your 20% drop.

Jump enemy spawns for 5 minutes until the Yellow Man shows up for your 2% drop.

Run through a gauntlet for 15 minutes until the Ball Man shows up for your 20% drop.

Shakedown the Void Fragment for an hour and slot the reactor to fight Ball and Yellow men for your 2% drop. Find the patterns for your 3% and 6% drops. Do you have a golden stick? 6% and 10% now.

On top of the constant inventory management because slots are ridiculously low.
Moving on to the characters capacity of what they can can do besides shooting. crouch , prone , dive could be some good added elements. better mantle-ing (only works 30% of the time)... get something more mil-sim going and- yeah it's just alot... alot needs improvement before they can even think about an award let alone game of the year.
I agree with what you said about the gameplay loop. Certain missions are too long however, if you put the enemy kill score at 230% or above, you can get not 1 but 2 patterns for doing a certain mission so that's nice. The fragment grind for Void Reactors is very bad at the moment, I 100% agree with you. The 5 min wait timer of outposts can be reduced significantly when you play in Private Mode instead of Public Mode. When talking about Yujin, he is a beast of a support character during Hard Mode intercepts in groups, he can help so many characters keep their HP up but is especially useful for Gley since her abilities use HP.

I dont give an answer which one is better because tfd is out since 3 weeks.
Wanna compare a fresh new game with others who where out for many years ?
I dont compare for this reason.
Its fun to play sometimes in the week and i will give the game time to grow.

I think skill trees will make characters even more fun. But I think if we get skill trees, this game will become even more of a grind than it already is. Except if the skill trees are universal for all characters instead of every single descendant having it's own skill tree. You get what I mean? Since all descendants also have their transcendent mods which are amazing btw, they level up your gameplay so much.

Hard Disagree.

There are a lot of systems they could've implemented or copied when they released the game but didn't. Instead, we get this generic shooter that basically boils down to "shoot boss till dead" except for The Hanged Man. Right now, this game is "generic shooter #69" on the list of other shooters in the market.

A lot of guns also don't have any uniqueness to it and only a chosen few are worth the investment. I wanna mow down a group of mobs up close, oh wait I can't coz shotguns are heavy weapons and its ammo are scarce.

Laser guns in a sci-fi setting? Forget about it, can't even reach enemies.

Semi-auto weapons? It has a weird lag in between shots that you have to time your clicks correctly otherwise your shot won't come out.

Burst-fire weapons? Same problem as above.

Not to mention firing from the hip has this delay everytime you shoot and that goes for every weapon.
When it comes to weapon uniqueness, I think that's why we have Ultimate Weapons like Enduring Legacy and Piercing Light.

What I meant by weapon uniqueness is, take the Immediate Execution for example, out of all the hand cannons, this is the only one that you can fan the hammer.

Or a burst-fire rifle where if you aim, it's a burst but if you fire from the hip, it's full auto.
Or a semi-auto sniper rifle where it fires 2 rounds per click, that kind of thing.

I should've worded it better but yeah, even ultimates behave the same as their base counter-part with skills attached to it, I was hoping that the ultimate laser gun (i forgot the name) would at least split beams after I made it but alas, they're all mid.

Not best, but not worst, and has potential.
We need to wait at least 1 year and see what happens.

No.. this game has progress robbing bugs. It is horribly balanced. It's definitely worth checking out but it's not the goat of anything. If you're looking to waste some time this is it.

Agree
gotta agree with this statement
If Ubisoft somehow able to create Division 3 with crossplay, proper live service, with refined gameplay formula from Div 2. That game will become the best Looter Shooter of the year

AH! Borderlands 2. Most excellent.

On the other hand, Zeed is right. There are certain visual aspects that is......underwhelming. In comparison to TFD

I know it isn't perfect but at least they are trying different mechanics instead of the *Bullet Sponge is good content right?* /s that most companies do with this type of game. The balls were infuriating in their first iteration but now that they got rid of the In Order ones I'm not nearly as grumpy about them.

Yes the drops rates get old but I actually like having to work towards something and tweaking builds as I go to get more powerful.
