amorphous material in my consumables

What is the point in having the amorphous material patterns in my consumables? im about 25 hours into this game, and I havent been met with any sort of mission or urgency to do anything with them. When I look it up, people on reddit or blogs say that I open them through Void Intercept battles, but thats not really what im talking about, because I know that already... I get them from doing the wave missions so I know that I can get them from other missions, yk?? Help please im so over ittttttt

go into consumable go on amorph mat itself and hit L it will show you what you have to defeat to open them. Should be either a intercept boss or void reactors boss which then spawns a big greenish orb you use to open them.

They are like loot chest with rare stuff in it and where you can get descendant code BP and activator/catalyst BP or weapon bp etc

You beat the big collosi or other things and the green globe pops up and you get to chose a reward, right? Those rewards come from the A-Mats in your inventory.

The A-Mats are the chest, and the globes are the keys. No A-Mat in your inventory, then no reward in the globe.
