Once again very very poor design.
Yeah, for some reason I am feeling particularly talkative today, it's weird. Maybe the full moon we had last night did it. I am a werespammer!
I'm not saying guilds are a bad thing. But, it is a system of exclusion, not inclusion.
Will there be sweaty premades? Absolutely. But not all people suck, just the majority. There will be some people who will want to help out the low end of the community. I guarantee it.
Right now randoms just grief you and waste your time.
I use the chat, but have the voice chat disabled.
I think more people would use the chat if it were... better. The filter sucks and just swallows lots of messages up for no reason making you retype and slightly change them because you can't even tell why it didn't go through, we only have World and Normal chat tabs and zero options to customize them, we can't write a whole sentence because the symbol limit per message is too low. It's one big mess, no wonder nobody uses it.
Add to that that plenty of console players won't use it to begin with, but still.
But for future content where you might need better or new gear that might be a huge issue if you have no ways to properly group up.
