Why do You Hate the Battle Pass so Much?

You get a lot of free stuff by doing the challenges and leveling up your Battle Pass. You get free stuff from the Battle Pass itself AND from the Supply Coin Shop which is also free. Just the free stuff is nice to have and you only have to play the game and nothing more...

It costs 500 Caliber ($10) but you get 300 Caliber ($6) back, so it costs effectively only $4 (+20 Caliber), and everything that comes with it is WAAAAAY more than $4. So... Why do you hate the Battle Pass so much?

Is this just a "We need to hate all Battle Pass, Season Pass, Game Pass from every game EVER" cultural thing?

To me I just dont see the value in it. Too many boosts. 90% of the weapon skins ill never use because theyre tied to weapons ill never use besides to level up. 90% of the paint colors I find unattractive. Too many coins for stuff thats easily farmable. Backpacks and chest attachments are meh.

TLDR: most bp items are 1 time use, paid currency reward is less than bp cost.

People are mad because you don't get your paid currency back in full (in my experience, games like The Division 2 and Dead By Daylight give all your coins back if you manage to complete the track), and you get one time use paint, and you get short boosts of xp and loot.

Actually it's wrong. You spend 500 caliber , that 300 caliber is not a reimbursement as it's fake money and only can be spent on the "next" in-game item.

Basically you become a slave to the system and needing to feed in more real money into fake money to continue your "BP" train.

Never justify any BP for any game. They are all predatory practices, either to force you to spend a bit more or fomo you into playing a game so the gameplay statistics look good on business reports.

It's less hate and more apathy. Compare the amount of stuff you get from even a gacha BP to here. The BP should at least include rare materials to make it worth leveling up. Also, what others said about it not really refunding the amount of money you put into it.

Yeah, but everything is for free... Your option is have none of that, or having all of that, in exchange of nothing... I don't get it, who cares if you don't like everything in there, it's free. AND if think about the pricing, $4 is nothing, you can find a $5 bill on the ground. I see no logical reason here... I'm not saying you don't have a reason, I just don't see logic in it.

Yes, you don't get back in full, but the huge majority of games also don't get back in full. If you get all 300 Caliber from the Battle Pass, the next one would cost only the first pack of 250 Caliber, which I assume it's $5? So... Next Battle Pass you are paying $5 for it and getting back $6 for it... You not only get your money back, but more, IF they keep the price, of course.

Yeah, you are right, you don't get your money back to your account, but no one does this, not only because there are lot of law issues involved, but because it's more headache than imply give you back in currency. Steam, for example, you spend real money to get a cosmetic to any game, you can re-sell for Steam Wallet which isn't real money, you can't remove from Steam Wallet to your account.

Pretty sure even the For Honor Battle Pass gives you more bang for your buck than this game does. I don't want to be that person but Nexon really don't make any effort to make their cash shop look tempting, which I'm not even sure anymore if that's a bad thing or not. Everytime I open the shop or the BP out of curiousity I keep thinking why would I ever pay for this and then go back to grinding.

tbh value of that bp is low, thats worst bp that i have purchased in any game ever. Bought it blindly, dont regret, but it needs to change.

I'll stick to the way helldivers did it. Much better system. Sure you can use cash to buy it but you still have to earn the medals and you can find the paid curency in the game if you want to grind for it.

A good value Battle Pass always gives back the same amount of special currency spent or more. Fortnite made the best Battle Pass and almost no others can compare to it. You get enough to pay for the next battle pass AND a little extra to spend for yourself. Also the items in Fortnite's battle pass are actually nice.
In this battle pass however? We get a buncha skins for guns we're never gonna use. Enhancement items that are stupid easy to craft ingame for free. They didn't even have the decency to put Crystal Catalysts or Energy Activators in there? Naw this battle pass is complete garbage.

Its not free though its $10. Then in 60 or so days its $5 if you keep the currency. Then in 120 days or so its free if you keep the currency. Theres just not enough value in it for me to invest that much time.

I didn’t buy the Battle Pass for several reasons:

Useless Items: The items in the Battle Pass are completely useless. Most games with this kind of pass at least refund the player once the pass is completed. Unfortunately, that’s not the case here, meaning you’ll have to pay every time with your card.

Outdated Boosts: The experience boosts for characters and weapons are totally outdated. With all the farming possibilities available, I see no point in getting such items.

Lack of Upgrade Items: I might have bought the Battle Pass if it included upgrade items for characters, weapons, catalysts, etc. The pass doesn’t have anything truly useful. The only potentially interesting things are the dance , but they are terrible.

I hope this answers your question. I also hope the developers see this message and make decisions about the rewards because it’s unacceptable. They should take a cue from other similar games that offer various materials, character and weapon upgrades exclusive to the pass, gold, attractive items, and especially a full refund of the payment. This would encourage players to buy the next pass and keep playing to complete challenges.

The exp boosts I don't really understand. You can get a character from 1 to 40 with just a few rounds of albion defense or kingston specop.
