Crossplay Is One Of The Network Issues
A trend I've noticed in public lobbies is that most of the time there is little to no network issues (which leads into Frame Rate issues), until crossplay connections occur. I could be playing the game normally on Steam, then suddenly, an XBox or PSN user shows up in the area or joins my mission which results in my network and frames dropping straight down the toilet.
There needs to be a "Disable Crossplay" option for players in order to prevent this from being a continuous occurrence. The game is not currently optimized enough for crossplay to be viable for all players. This is not the same crossplay issue PvP games have where "Controller is superior" or any of that nonsense, it's a networking issue this game is not set up to properly support at this time.

Sounds more like a correlation vs. causation-misinterpretation.

I personally have seen hundreds of lobbies with console players who doesn't have problem and i sometimes loose connection in private lobbies or with Steam only.

welcome to modern games, a place where they force you & I (the pc players) on all multiplayer games to have to put up with crossplay without giving you the option to disable it because that way the game seems to have more players. in exchange you the pc player that has a very good and stable cable connection pair up with some god knows what sort of 10kb/s wifi console peasant and hope for the best. jokes aside I like the game a lot but this bugs me a lot too .. also to add on this, the hard boss fights are ruined by console players, i always could do hard bosses with no issues when i had a party of steam players and a 20% chances of success with consoles. anyway I can get behind a disable cross play button for us the PC players

I don't have an issue with having console teammates for content, it's just the networking issues that comes with having them as teammates. If I didn't end up having crossplay related networking issues I would love to keep crossplay on, but as is, it's messing with the gameplay experience through lowered FPS.

That's fine if you're able to do that, however, not every steam user is able to have a proper networking experience with crossplay enabled. This is the only game this happens with for me. Having the option for PC players to turn off crossplay is all that's needed.

I would also like to be able to turn off crossplay. There is way too many reasons for this.
