Fellow F2Pers - how do you feel about the Descendant cap?

Hi there, and good day to you.

I have been playing since launch (played the open beta as well) and I really like the game a lot. It has its flaws, of course, everyone knows that - but my own, personal biggest worry is the cap on Descendants we are allowed to own.

I farmed Ultimate Bunny and am very happy with her, and what keeps me from farming more characters right now is not the drop rates or even the farming process, but the fact that I am at 8/10 Descendants and don't know how to work around the cap.

Dismissing Descendants doesn't feel good at all whatsoever. It's unpleasant to farm a character only to have to dispose of them later - I understand that's the productive thing to do as far as mastery level goes, but it just doesn't feel right to me.

So I wonder - what do you guys have to say about this, how do you feel about the Descendant cap, do you think it will be increased or that we'll be able to buy more slots once the trading system comes around - whenever that may be?

Well yeah, that's the hard limit on F2P in this game for now. which sucks.

That said 10 bucks will get you 20 slots. So it's not a big investment to get them.

Bad. 50 cal isn't too bad i suppose, but that depends. It can add up.

I think eventually you'd be able to craft descendant slots unless they plan to gate keep character creation through a paywall

10 is pretty good. If you buy a descendant, it becomes 10+1=11 (So basically price of a slot is factored in).

Most live service games give you 1 slot... or at most 2. lol.

the battlepass is worth it, buy that at least. it has like 300 caliber via rewards. enough for the current characters.

Just dismiss descendants you aren't using.

Don't mind it. In PoE which is also f2p you need to buy stash tabs for 10-20 bucks to be able to play the game properly. If a f2p game has a little investment like slots you have to make Im totally fine with it if the rest of the game is good.

Okay i am just wondering because i already have four and i was going to get Sharen and Blair but if i got no more slots for them might as well not bother. I rather not dismiss anyone >.>

Pretty sucky... but it is a f2p game and each slot is dirt cheap so it's hard to be open about it without someone mocking you for being cheap.

There is no right or wrong argument here, only different points of view in regards to this practice of introducing an artificial barrier only to sell you the solution afterwards. It will never not be scummy, but gamers endorse it nonetheless and that's what we live with.

A temporary solution for you would be to get rid of non-ultimate versions of an ultimate you already have. They're the same character minus the stats and base skin plus you've likelly already grinded the base version's mastery xp by getting them to lvl40 so you can just dump them as they're just clogging your character slots.
