Shooting a spot that used to have armour on it on a Colossus yields yellow weak point numbers that are higher than random hits elsewhere. I couldn't tell if they are higher than armoured weak point hits, though.
The easiest to see is paying attention to the damage number colors.
If the color is still yellow, that means its weakpoint damage.
Although, I dont think there is a colour that indicates weak spot damage.

Green: Your weapon type is dealing bonus damage. This overrides White.
Yellow: Weakspot. This overrides White and Green.
Orange: Crits. This overrides all other colors.
