why is it that i opened 12 #36 patterns and got 9 smithereens blueprints in a row and not the one i actually wanted which is the divine punishment and they have the same drop rates. i even got the energy activator blueprint.

You see, your problem is you are farming for the divine punishment. Start farming for the smithereens. You'll get what you don't want in no time.
