Poor FPS? quality while moving mouse
I know that my PC setup can handle this game in every graphics settings but for some reason it lags about a second if I move my mouse. Any ideas?

The only thing that comes to my mind is an extremely high mouse polling rate that tanks CPU, which in return, your game performance

I'll also second the polling rate, I had to turn mine back a while ago (Forgot which game) because it would introduce micro stutters. I'm guessing you have it set to 1000hz, 250 worked pretty well for my setup on solid state memory/3090/5900x

A very popular mouse by Logitech (G PRO Superlight 2) received a free 4k software update, and from the last time I checked, 8k polling rate was the current maximum when it comes to advertising new mice.

Personally wouldn't go lower than 500hz, but anything above 1k is nothing but a placebo effect

I'm using 1000hz polling rate and the game works fine. It's the really high polling rates that wreck your fps.

I have the same issue, 4070 rtx and when using the controller i get no lag but as soon as I move the mouse at 125hz polling rate, it lags. The issue is that I m allergic to controller in shooters.

Try a shooter with good gamepad support and you might change your mind but this isn't one of them.

I posted a steam input community profile that removed the deadzone and increases maximum turn speed by like 50% if you want to try that. Works fine for me, anyway.

Polling rate 500Hz. Some games have same problems including TFD. It's pretty awkward that 2024 game suffers it.

there hardware cursor option

It doesn't.

Again, everyone with this issue needs to share their hardware, their software AND WHICH MOUSE THEY ARE USING.

im using 8000 polling via razer dongle and it does seem to have low frame skips if you turn too fast. but when i use it wired (not 8000 polling anymore) its buttery smooth.

R7 5800x, RTX 4090, Razer Basilisk V3, all ultra, motion blur off, steady 60fps except albion because of population at that map, xbox one gamepad play works absolutely fine while TFD can't register 1000Hz polling rate correctly. 500Hz immediately solved it. Previous test version worked fine on my side though, from 1.0 to today's suffer this. Other games, including even Unreal Engine 3 games, have no problem except some old games like Supreme Commander(1,FA,2).
It's polling rate issue with some exceptions, or this game uses some exceptional communication method to register input from mouse.

Post yours if you don't experience this, so we all can do some effective discuss.

Asus rog spatha 2000Hz poling wired or 1000Hz wireless on a i5 13400 / 3050 8GB / 32GB ddr4 3600 or a i9 13900k / 4090 / 32GB ddr4 4000 no issues on either.

Not sure why you are dropping below 60fps though I don't do that on the htpc (first one).

this game can't handle 2k hz on the g pro x 2, i tested 2k vs 1k and 2k was affecting sensitivity and micro stutters consistently. my sens in game was like 4-5 inches longer with 2k hz
Escanes Jul 20, 2024 @ 9:56pm
Ah.. my settings are with 4k res without DLSS, that's the reason of under 60fps at albion.

This mouse input problem might be some anticheat driver issue. TFD is the highest computing power demanding game from Nexon game studios. Those anticheat driver might not built in consideration of super busy CPUs and/or mouses with too high polling rate. If game graphics settings are low enough to have some room for handling overly doing mouse input validation, or if CPU is strong enough, then those computers may won't experience it. Maybe.
