I have 0 stutters so would help if you explain what kind you are facing and what specs you have.

I also have found a massive stutter issue of late. Cannot be specs as run 4090 with 7800x3d, 32bg DDR5 6000 with all updates. No overheating.

Constant micro stuttering everywhere, nearly unplayable

Still experiencing stutters in some areas in the game as well. The mouse stutter bug is still there, forcing me to restart my computer. Playing with a gamepad seems to be the only solution for me, so far.

Same. Sometimes the game launches and runs without them, sometimes I gotta restart it. But every time I alt-tab or click something on the other monitor it comes back and nothing helps. I tried lowering mouse poll rate, lowering Hz on my monitor, playing without the other monitor, different settings with and without upscaling - it's all the same. My specs are:
i512400f
RTX 3070
KINGSTON FURY 32gb.

Meanwhile my buddy that has an i7 9th gen and GTX 1070 has no stuttering. What the actual frick?

This problem really turns me away from the game because it's I'm either stuck to it and God forbid I alt-tab to change a song or a video in the background, or I pay for it by constantly restarting the game over and over, going thru all those loading screens every single time.

Your shader cache may be wonky and in need of clearing. If you don't know how to do so, I'll help you out.

If you're using an NVIDIA card, open the NVIDIA Control Panel and navigate to Manage 3D settings > Global Settings > Shader Cache Size, and change it to Disabled.

Restart your PC, open File Explorer, navigate to this path:

"C:\Users\YourUserNameHere\AppData\Local\NVIDIA\GLCache"

Delete the folder with all the numbers and letters. In NVIDIA Control Panel, change the shader cache back to its original value or just 5GB to be safe, and reboot once more. When you launch The First Descendant, it should rebuild its shader cache and hopefully fix your performance.

If you're using an AMD graphics card, open AMD Radeon Software, click the gear icon in the top-right, click Graphics, scroll down and expand Advanced section, and hit "Reset Shader Cache".

Hopefully this should fix it for you. I limited my FPS to 10 when I walked away from my machine before when the game was building the shader cache and when I came back and put my FPS back to normal my game ran at 20-30FPS constantly. I relaunched the game to see if it was just a fluke and it stayed. I had to clear my shader cache and leave my FPS uncapped while the shader cache was building and it played smooth.
From another thread.

It's the first time I've seen the teleporting animation without at least 3 micro stutters
if they get rid of it, they wont ban bots anymore. so I take this stuttering over not having bots or chaeters.

Dude Im cursed, I have no lag outside of the random 2 stutters after each other every 30 minutes.

But I actually had a dream where I played the game and game was stuttering LOL
Frame generation helps a lot, buty yeah. The game is in dire need of optimization.

1. how does that correlate to one another?
2. you don't actually have stuttering, do you?

frame generation makes it unplayable as it produces a ton of input lag unlike just dlss

what kind of input lag must it be so you notice it? I mean, it's not a pvp game, why even care?

if something isnt smooth its unplaybale for me with dlss the input lag is minimal but frame generation makes it horrible. I play on medium settings now so i stay above 140 fps all times so it is smooth and no input lag but it could be much better optimized
Those double freezes are getting rly old. And their timings seems to always be impeccable.

What constant random stuttering? Not had it. Do you have dlss or framegen on?
