Why anyone would always run it at the 1st place?

I run it permanantly so I can always easily see important info about my hardware. Useful to sometimes diagnose an issue or spot weird frametimes and going through game settings to see their realtime load. I use it for every game for the past 12 years or so. I have a shortcut binded so I can toggle the overlay on and off. My overlay is custom made showing horizontally at the top of the screen not blocking the game much at all. I use a small font. It's not often you run into a game where you have to disable it though, but it happens and I just block the exe of the game.

Hiding the proof of your stutters doesn't mean they go away.

It's a GPU Overclocking utility app I've used on & off on various rigs for years, it auto starts with my preset OC when Windows loads. The RTSS plugin is set up to show me CPU/GPU Temps, Fan%, FPS, Frametime & Load limit reason in games.

I have a 2080 & 9700k @5Ghz so it makes sense for me to OC the old card too. Theirs really no point in me puttin higher than a 20 series card in an LGA1151 MOBO.

Only upgrades I could make would be to source a 2nd hand Titan & 9900k :steammocking: lol as if.

Next step is a whole new rig I guess :steamsad:

The game does use Unreal engine 5 so has high CPU usage across the board.

If you are finding yourself CPU bound you could try:
Turning off Low Latency in Nvidia Control Panel out of game, for all games that have the Reflex option in game
Also in Control Panel set your Shader Cache size to Unlimited or as high as your free disk space allows
Disabling Full-Screen optimisations on the Compatibility tab of the game.exe
Turning off DLSS in game
Turning on Vsync 60fps in game
Making game Full Screen
Turning on Nvidia Reflex + Boost in game

If all else fails you could set your Maximum processor state to 90% in your Power options profile advanced settings, but only really if your having a heat issues.
