CPU temperature reaches 90°C
Good evening lads. I've a small question.

If this game actually a game or a disguised cryptominer?

I've got the AMD ryzen 7 5800x. I know, not the newest, but it gets work done.

Recently there was a thread about this. Medium settings somehow caused high temperature, high settings lowered the temp.

Also I've turned off frame generation and ray tracing, these caused stuttering (although new patch has managed to cause stuttering even without frame generation :lunar2019crylaughingpig: )

I run a i9 9900k on air and never goes above 72c in this game at 2k res ultra textures and lightning , everything else on high averaging 100-120fps. Sounds like you guys have terrible pc cases or cpu coolers.

The temps are because of the heavy CPU usage, which is probably because First Descendant is a pretty good-looking Unreal Engine 5 game.

The Finals has this similar issue as a UE5 game, where it maxes your CPU and really puts your PC build's cooling to the test.

With that said, I have a cheap EVGA AIO cooler for my CPU and it never goes above 75 C even when the CPU is maxed out.

When alt-tabbing from full screen use first alt+enter to go window mode - prevents cpu going crazy while tabbed out. Works reliable for me.

on my r5 5800x3d and rtx 3080 both stable around 70c, then again im playing with locked 60 fps 1440p, and 3d cpu supposed to run hotter

I might not have baby daddy water cooling, but my 5 cooling fans are doing their job.

The question I am asking myself right now, why would I play this, if poe exists.

Well, this is not rocket science. The less frames the CPU has to generate, since they gpu has more work to do, the less temperature it will reach, since it wont be pushed as hard.. Having to pull 50 fps extra per second is some work for the cpu you know...
