Making use of all areas no matter what level you are is a GOOD design.
The main reason most MMORPG fails is because they think that making a couple of "End game dungeons" that you're supposed to grind forever. That will burn people out far quicker than anything else.
People always be about "What about the endgame grind?" well the end game grind is to get all of the materials from bosses from all bosses.
Warframe is doing this as well and it's been successful for over 10 years.
They could try and make it so that you're teamed up with low levels the first time around or if you only want people around your level. But this is not bad design.
It actually is a flaw. If you played within the first week, you got the true experience of the game's matchmaking. Now? You get the warframe experience, where a bunny zips infront of your with a emission as wide as every room she steps in and finishes the spots in like 20 seconds flat.
We got to play the missions the way they were intended, dying to specific bosses and having to duck and and roll behind cover/guess boss attacks. This is being deprived from lower level people because people farming, aren't just doing so privately.
I do public farming myself and generally wait to see how strong people are in the group. If it's a farming group, we blitz it, if it isn't, I watch and help when needed. People losing first experiences isn't a good thing to promote for game longevity you know. Like the pyromaniac. People don't get to experience the massive death streak a ton of you forum users had (Literally archived.) because some yahoo with a thundercage that watched a youtube video saws it in half now lol.
Honest question, but if those players are strong enough why they are not running in solo mode? It's a thing that only drop in co-op mode?
We aren't there to ruin anyone's fun. We don't know you, or who is in the random groups. We don't waste time assuming anything. We are just playing.
I would not overthink things. I would not take them personal. I would go private if you don't want to play with randoms.
Personally, I find it fun to grind in public to see other characters and players. I've found a lot of like-minded folk grinding away with no complaints. But I understand not everyone is going to be happy at all times.
Just go solo, it is your option.
So you know even with a full party of low lvls the stuff all dies more or less instantly. The bosses might take a min to kill but they are more or less just bullet sponges. So if your not into the type of games that are speedy mow down hordes with abilities and things this might not be for you.
Even the end game collosus fights are not like a MMO raid fight where you need a properly set up group that has to do complex mechanics. its more or less just zug zug the big HP bar with like 3 of the fights having a random thing you need to do but its nothing complex.
Also the reason you see high lvl players is simply cause they are most likely farming low end things. Some people join public matches to more or less help other people even if they can do it themselves in 30 seconds while some missions are forced group content so they have no choice but to get tossed in.,
what game were you playing on week one? Cause that was the experience even then. The only difference now is the bosses die quicker at the end of the missions and I am not complaining much about that since its not like they are very interesting and engaging fights.
The OP should not have to do anything other than play the game to experience the story as I did on release with others
to the OP. The developers made the stupid decision of placing end-game mats as farmable things in low level areas. Some are only available in low level areas!
Exactly what I was thinking. Be happy you are getting the carry and loot for doing little to nothing. Because this honeymoon does not last long.
No, no. It's not a matter of high levels "feeling the need to rather do low level missions because its easier to farm mats" it's because the specific items don't drop from anywhere else.
There is Hard Mode, but that is only available to those who have clear the whole game world and that's not most "high levels". Someone having a character they've just maxed to 40 for the first time still has a long way to go.
