sub-module = the yellow slot for descendant, aka melee attack
when you upgrade these mods it increases a descendants module capacity.
-i melee for fun!
Sub-Attack is your melee power with the key ( F ).
You make this attack stronger with reactors having high stat of sub attack power.
There is an orange slot at the left in your descendant's skill menu. There you can put one of two types of modules:
- Upgrading your sub-attack (sword / claw for offense, tonfa / kick / punch for CC)
- Upgrading your grappling hook (3 hooks but 18m / 2 hooks with 25m / 1 hook but no wall required)
If you upgrade those modules, they will give your descendant capacity, instead of draining them. So upgrading the mod getting into that orange slot is highly advised, cuz you can put it to any other descendants as well for a quick +10 capacity boost.
At the end, you can put a Catalyst to the orange slot, which will multiply the provided capacity by 0.5.
Aka, if it gave you +10, it will give you +15 capacity.
There are Ultimate mods which give your melee attack benefits and additional effects. Those mods get into normal slots and will eat capacity.
Like Gladiator module, which reduces cooldown of your melee whenever you kill an enemy with a charged sub-attack (aka, when your sub-attack is not on cooldown).
You can have only one ultimate like this equipped at a time.
