Thunderstorm Cage Nanotube Drop Rate
The drop rate in this game is ridiculous. The Thunderstorm Cage Nanotube says 20% drop rate, but I have played it for over 20 times and still no drop rate! ? Has anyone else encountered this situation?

Not really and I made 2 maxed out copies of thundercage. ou are simply unlucky.
20% drop chance means also you have 80% chance to not get it per run.

sure, but to do 20 consecutive runs back-to-back and not get a 20% drop is extremely low chance to happen
There were consecutive for you. But not consecutive for that activity. The drop rate is for everyone, not just your specific runs.

It was the same for me. took me about 30+ runs before I got another one.

So are end on mission rewards the same for everyone, or does everyone get different rewards. I though end of mission rewards were unique to each player
The reward will be unique due to whatever rng roll you get as you would expect.

But, what I am saying is, your attempts aren't consecutive. Other people ran that mission in the time you started and finished it. So, if it doesnt drop for you on your run 1, and again fails to drop on your run 2, thats really run 58 for the mission. It could have dropped 15 times in that 58 tries.

Um, I got 2 drops back to back. 3rd dropped after another 5-6 runs.

So what what im getting from this is that every mission has an internal RNG system that accounts for all attempts of all players doing that mission and because of that my 5th attempt is actually going to be the 30th attempt for that mission and because of that my RNG is going to be worse because the mission see's that its being farmed a lot by a lot of players and the drops i should be getting are going to other players?

Its not worse. Every attempt is a distinct chance at that percent (15, 20, etc.). But, people assuming the drop rate is wrong because they ran it 20 times without the drop arent seeing that the rate could be correct overall as its dropping for other runs.

Nexon isnt checking to see if each individual person is getting 20%, they are checking serverwide.

No, thats not what that means at all.

I mean maybe they are doing something wonky. But, assuming they are not there is nothing strange about not getting a drop for 20 runs.

Each chance is unique to any other, meaning the game doesn't keep track of how many times you've failed the dice roll and eventually gives you a pat on the head to give you a higher chance.
it's 20%. EACH TIME. And it's entirely possible to end up not being lucky and having to do enough runs over the average. That's why it's called an AVERAGE. Because it's not a 100% to get something to drop in a given amount of runs.

I maxed out Thunder cage's skill a week ago maybe. Just going to say RNG is either kind to you or hates you. For Thunder Cage it was extremely kind but for Viessa's 38% drop it just straight up hated me.

I found that if I don't chain run for things I want and run other drops in between or alternate it "feels" like it drops sooner. It is most likely just a trick of the mind but I'd rather "feel" like I have some luck than feeling like RNG hates me which is what happens when I chain run. Good luck.

OK, I guess I'm just unlucky.
Trust me, I'm quite unlucky a lot of times. RNG beats me like a parent who can't control their temper properly some days. I'm with you on that.
