Unlimited Ammo for every character .. its so simple.
I dont get the discussion - you have all the tools at hand and still complain.

Get a second gun with the prefered ammo type - in my example general ammo. I use to convert impact rounds because they stand out with the green glow - that means - switch to second gun with these mods, pick up all the ammo and then switch back to your main gun. I use a handgun with fast movement speed to negate the movement speed penalty on the mod.

Put on these 3 mods:

I have 800 general ammo everywhere, even bossfights. If you run low, just swap to secondary, run around, collect - rinse and repeat.

Thank me later.

I would rather use the capacity for DMG mods lol.

Yeah it's so simple even if you write a perfect guide you will get people that dont understand it.

You're not getting it. This isn't a damage gun, it's an ammo conversion farm to generate more ammo for your main gun.

The problem with this "mod-stacking" method is that you have to constantly switch to that other gun/those other guns(if you run two "ammo stat sticks"), in order to pick up that extra modded ammo.

Yes, it works. But it is also counter-intuitive and kinda obnoxious. So is it really worth it?

this game need to look at warframe exilus slots.
a mod slot for these kind of mods.
https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Exilus_Weapon_Mods

would solve the issue.

If your gun is going bang, bang, bang, no. If your gun is going click, click, click, then hell yes! lol.

so you didnt invest in skill power boosting and CD lowering?...i dont need a gun if i can magically make everything explode in the meantime while scavving for pickups.

Tried it once, but was really annoying, that i now was limited to 2 types of weapons instead of 3. And i can get to 600 with one single weapon as well, which is more than enough for pretty much anything besides some reactor-enemies (where dying to refill ammo is a viable option though)

That's something TFD does better in my opinion. Instead of forcing you to use specific mods, it gives you the option to (in this case) either prioritize dmg over ammo, so that you can kill enemies faster and loot them quicker, or prioritize ammo over dmg, so that you can fight for longer, before needing to collect stuff.

It's just annoying, when a game makes too many decisions on your behalf

very rarely do i go COMPLETELY out of ammo on all my guns, running 3 different ammo types. I mostly ran out early gamelaunch because we missed more/didnt know all weakpoints and did way less dmg averall.
Sure if you run a smg and stand too far out, you will run out of ammo while doing crap dmg.

I see all these people standing half a mile away on top of a pillar shooting, doing 50% of the dmg they should be doing because they are waaay outside the guns falloff point.

you really don't get it.

instead of modding a second weapon to get more max ammo for the first one.
we could just have a dedicated mod slot for that.

The guns in Warframe also have an Exilus slot which only accepts Exilus Mods. It's an extra slot if you are using Exilus Catalyst. Basically, If your guns still have capacity left, you can have an extra slot for an extra Exilus mod. No need to replace any mods in your setup.

In TFD right now you'll have to replace the mods that increase DPS to slot in any other mods. So, yes, in Warframe, you have the option just to slot in the extra Exilus mod.

Instead of having a dedicated mod slot for the weapon, we could just make ammo drop equally for all guns.

If you run out of ammo you're doing something wrong, most boss have a recovery bot in the arena that give you an ammo refile when used.

Exilus mod in Warframe were normal mods that were moved to be exilus specific, this reduced the possibility of moding, on top of requiring yet another rare item to unlock a special mod slot.

You dont have to use it, but runnig around with 800 rounds instead of 300 max is a huge difference for farming, mobbing and bossing. And some people in this thread really have to learn to read properly...
