This game is just a Shader Loading SImulator. I have updated my graphics driver and have to wait for shader loading no matter where I teleport to. Even when I teleport to Albion many times.

Yeah, they have spread the loading of shaders even more with this update. Now, the game will load a certain amount of shaders everytime you load a new map, even if you load the map twice, it will still compile some shaders, which means they are compiling shaders not related to such map, just compiling them "when they can"....it is worse than before, im getting late to several bosses even after i have played them a couple of times... will get better after a couple of hours....

Cheers for the help! I just think it’s the latest patch or me updating my drivers. Didn’t have that much of a problem yesterday. I’ll try this out if it still occurs.

Option 1 and 2 must be placebo for people, for example Steam shader caching is only for Vulkan and OpenGL games, the only game I have installed that uses it is Path of Exile you can check under Steam settings storage and see any games you have that are using it. Second the problem is likely that your shader cache folder is maxed out/set to default setting (for Nvidia at least) which is 4GB, I cleared mine and bump it up in size and now after an initial preparing shaders all my load times are instant. Also check the Nvidia (if on Nvidia) folder under LocalLow that's where all my shader stuff is going not under Local, tested this by clearing it and watching the folder fill back up while loading the game.

Hope this helps people because it resolved all my shader issues.

It's definitely not placbo, because 1st solution changed the loading times for me from minutes on every single loading screen, to a mere seconds, it's a very noticable and extremely significant difference. I have no idea why it worked, there is nothing about this solution that should affect loading times, but for some people it did, it's bizarre, but it's actually working.

Only thing I could think of is it purges your cache folder, just like installing new drivers would and people would see a difference right away until it fills again, I play four different games atm so it's a lot.

Thanks pal, this helped me. I have added this into the Engine.ini

[SystemSettings]
r.ShaderPipelines=1
r.ShaderPipelineCache.Enabled=0
r.D3D.ForceDXC=1

my shader loading has been reduced from minutes to seconds. Unbelieveable that they don't have that set when you install the game.
