DEVS PLEASE IMPLEMENT FSR 3.1
Add FSR 3.1 so people on RTX 20/30 series GPUs can use AMD Frame Generation with DLSS.

Sorry to say, but Frame Generation is buggy in The First Descendant. It works for some time, then the game gets all sluggish and slows down to a crawl. Only a game restart fixes that.
Not to mention that it sometimes flickers like crazy which can be fixed by alt tabbing.

I disabled Frame Generation now, and my frames are stable and never go down like they did.
I only use DLSS. I am on a 4070 Super.

Hmm strange. I am using AMD FSR quality with AMD frame gen on a RTX 3070 and haven't noticed any sluggishness. I have seen some flickering though.
So blurry tho even at a base high resolution compared to NVIDIA's dlss which looks so clean.

Indeed, which is why I want the devs to implement FSR 3.1 so we can use DLSS with AMD frame gen on RTX 20/30 series gpus.

no blur for me, using fsr and framegen
all i've had is a bit of flickering here and there, and using sharon stealth has more flicker then i've seen from fsr frame gen so meh,

rx6900xt works just fine with it.

Ye when I look at bunny her face (in the loadout menu) that's where I see the blur, It's not there in general gameplay tho. Could be because I'm on NVIDIA gpu. But AMD for sure looks worse than NVIDIA's dlss. What is your base resolution my friend?

so what you portrayed as the entire game being blurry is in reality just 1 charachter model on a specific menu screen?

It's also blurry when you move around, forgot to mention that. Like when you stand still it's sharp like DLSS but as soon as I start moving it gets blurry. DLSS on the other hand stays sharp even when moving. And what is your base (native) resolution?

Frame gen is trash and only recommended if you're getting over 60fps already. The game feel is going to feel better at lower frames without running FG.

sounds more like a your setup problem then fsr in general, we're 8 people playing the game all with fsr none of us have this issue.

I play on a 4090 and i9 processor my friend, I have a 240hz gsync screen, I don't think it's my setup.

The sluggishness is tied to NVIDIA frame gen, it currently has memory leakage in TFD.

DLSS is much better than FSR in this game. Check this out: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/q2YBe8TqbpM
Mind, that unlike FSR, DLSS isn't available to all. Also, it is better for now in terms of quality, but I wouldn't say it's "much better". Performance-wise FSR beats DLSS all day long, esp on low to mid-end systems.

and nvidia never makes mistakes or problems with their drivers? microsoft never made problems with their updates either right? i didn't say your hardware is the problem i said system, be that config drivers etc i don't know what makes it so, but considering my sample size is 8 and yours is 1, seems pretty likeley you're the one with a problem as opposed to all 8 of us who has it running just fine.

You said setup my friend. Not system (os)/drivers. Most people refer to hardware as setup, be more clear next time you make a comment like that.

setup is a broad definition, and as someone who's worked and built pc's for 20 years, also no that is not the case.
maybe just stop assuming things when you have no clue.

Maybe define what you mean next time if you have 20 years of pc experience?
