So when you link your account to Nexon and then unlink it, it resets your progress like you've never played the game before. I have 202 hours logged and now it's all gone. I submitted a request to Nexon explaining the issue with a screenshot of Steam showing 202 hours and achievements. Just if you haven't linked to Nexon... don't. If you have... don't unlink.
Please write them a support ticket as soon as possible with all potential details you can think of, the exact timeline of things how you did them and screenshots, if you have them. Surely someone will be able to help you out. This is their mess after all.
I agree wholeheartedly. I feel that linking account *may* have produced new issues with connection that didn't exist with just Steam. I wish I had never linked, but I don't think there's an easy way to reverse it. The feeling of losing all that time spent when I unlinked and it reset was shocking. I almost don't feel like playing right now and need to relax. It should sync to Steam before unlinking so nothing is lost/reset. i'm kicking myself for adding a new complication that can't simply be reversed.
If you link in the first place, your data will no longer be stored on Steam.
Just don't link if you haven't.
If you linked, don't unlink. If you do, just relink again and it will be back.
Ultimately, you don't actually *lose* anything, it just changes where the data is stored. I do, however, wish that I never linked in the first place, but it seems to have hurt nothing now that I relinked with Nexon. No crashes. No issues. Those I initially thought were issues due to linking to Nexon probably weren't related to linking to Nexon and they're gone now probably with patches and backend fixes.
