What exactly makes you think it means you won't be matched with them?
And not just that you won't see their chats or voice?
Because that's what I think blocking means, but I could be wrong.
Because it's standard practice for MMO's and games of this nature. You block someone and you don't get put with them in groups, cant see their chats, and they can't talk to you.
It still putting you in groups with blocked folks is a weird choice.
Waiting for Frost and Molten is like 60 secs.
I've got to admit I haven't played MMO games in a long time. This isn't one either. But regardless. Blocking would mean in any sense, mean the same as if you block someone on steam, you will see they've posted something, but can't see the contents of it.
I'm still at a loss why you or anyone else thinks blocking players means it will NOT include them in MM process. You will simply be unable to see their messages or hear VOIP.
It is an MMO, whether you like it or not.
I also don't see what you're struggling to understand. You block someone, you don't see them or get grouped with them anymore.
It's pretty standard with multiplayer games to not get matched with people you block. I'm at a loss as to why you're struggling to understand the concept of blocking someone means more than chats.
I fail to see why this would ALSO mean you will not ever be matched with them. But again, I could be wrong here as I do not block people as it seems completely pointless anyways.
Maybe you've had some illusion where you blocked people and were never matchmade with them after? It's not what blocking means.
Blocking (by default) ONLY means you dont see their chat. Unless the devs specifically add in another function, thats all it does. This has been standard practice in MMOs for the better part of 30 years.
If i get into match whit theml i just instant quit :D .
And it's also been standard practice to not be grouped with the people you block. WoW is prime example.
Group with some idiot that trolls a dungeon run and you put them on ignore? Never hear or see them again. You'll never group with them again either.
Going to necro this just to point out that it took over 10 years for them to put that ADDED function in.
