matching up with blocked players

if you block afkers or just troll players, you still get matched up into party with them.. so blocking is useless.

What exactly makes you think it means you won't be matched with them?
And not just that you won't see their chats or voice?
Because that's what I think blocking means, but I could be wrong.

Because it's standard practice for MMO's and games of this nature. You block someone and you don't get put with them in groups, cant see their chats, and they can't talk to you.

It still putting you in groups with blocked folks is a weird choice.

I wish there would be filters for match making. Then you could choose stuff like classes, equipment levels, platform and maybe even to not get blocked people.

Because it's standard practice for MMO's and games of this nature. You block someone and you don't get put with them in groups, cant see their chats, and they can't talk to you.

I've got to admit I haven't played MMO games in a long time. This isn't one either. But regardless. Blocking would mean in any sense, mean the same as if you block someone on steam, you will see they've posted something, but can't see the contents of it.

I'm still at a loss why you or anyone else thinks blocking players means it will NOT include them in MM process. You will simply be unable to see their messages or hear VOIP.

Since ancient times of the internet "blocking a person" has only ever meant that you won't ever see their messages.

I fail to see why this would ALSO mean you will not ever be matched with them. But again, I could be wrong here as I do not block people as it seems completely pointless anyways.

Maybe you've had some illusion where you blocked people and were never matchmade with them after? It's not what blocking means.

if you get regrouped with trolls or afkers who do not contribute in missions where it is needed, like circle which speeds up based on amount of ppl inside of it .. or just trolls who try to bodyblock at maps where a lot grappling is needed.. so you know you have to quit and re-que.... which is wasted time.. as some missions take 1 min to que up and then you get some troll you know you blocked already.

Blocking (by default) ONLY means you dont see their chat. Unless the devs specifically add in another function, thats all it does. This has been standard practice in MMOs for the better part of 30 years.

No you can still see what the person said. It would say blocked but it lets you view it and it also lets you reply to the person.

Going to necro this just to point out that it took over 10 years for them to put that ADDED function in.
