I miss when the average gamer wasnt a no life nerd.
It is clear that the average player is near endgame already. Average mastery around 16, average playtime 200 hours. I just miss when games were full of people who can play 1-2 hours a day. Now it seems like after a month, every single person and there mother is a no lifer who has the game finished in a month.

This in turn leads to the average player being near done with the game. So when the average player has everything in the game, what is rare anymore? nothing. Everyone has everything. Everybody is that guy.

Just seems like in 2024, everybody is putting in 6 hours a day on these games. Very hard to keep up with the demand!

I mean a game is out for a month and youtube is LOADED with endgame builds and every detail of everything. NO lifers ruin games.

Skill issue.

There's also the other problem, I read a lot of people quitting around 2-3 hour mark because they simply find the gameplay loop boring. So you either get people who aren't interested in wasting tens to hundreds of hours of their time trudging through the main campaign so they can finally farm for real at hard mode or people who were gonna poop sock the game in the first place. The latter is your main audience for games like these, not Battlefield or CoD crowd who want flashy explosions and firefights on the get go.

Yup, very true. This type of game splits players between nothing and the grinders. So most people playing are the type to grind for 1k hours in 2 months.

I miss the times online gaming wasn't filled with toxic players and didn't complain as much

Er.... no it is far worse 10 years ago. It is even worse 20 years ago. I mean you never do 40hr Marathon before? The only different is that the current era of gamer read guides all the time, the meta is all they care about. They will rush there and try to act tough like a pro gamer. Which is pretty much what you saw huge majority of gamer that lurking here.

I am happily engaged. In the evening I can still play three hours a day. when I have a child I know they will reduce. but I work and I have a girlfriend and I still manage to play and go to the gym.

Remember when steam forums wasn't full of beta cucks complaining about the most pointless things possible
No lifers? Check my hours. I'm working on factory with 2 shifts(day/night) and have 1 weekend on week, and still finding time to play game
