Bosses on hard
Cant remember last time i used TC. I build a Eternal Willpower 4 weeks ago and now i use Nazeistra,Enduring Legacy and Greg.
TC is ok for mobbing in Kuiper Mine if you dont play Bunny/Valby but not for solo Hard Boss thats always is out of your TC Range.
Resistances are pretty much useless and a noob trap. If i remember right there is a video that explains it better but around 4-7k resistances is roughly around -7 to -10 damage.
So you're way better off just stacking tons of HP and some defence.
Resist are noob trap. Also thunder cage is good mob gun not boss gun. You should start farming other guns in hard mode and go for a good reactor w/good rolls.
Stack HP with some def. You can probably use a little less def if on ult version of the character especially Gley. Exceptions Ajax kind of like shields on Kyle
I said there better options, I only stated I did them with Thunder Cage easily
The only valid point is needing only HP fair enough, but easier with RES and DEF
Actually Monk brought up a good point below also. If you are using the TC bossing you pretty much MUST build to be able to facetank. Because the optimal range is very short.
That's why thunder cage is still popular nowadays, not because of the unique effect, but simply because it's a critical hit based general ammo weapon type
Do many people sit way out of their guns range so they do pitiful damage, especially smg users, made worse by the large spread on such guns.
The tamer is the worse culprit, honestly at this point seeing people with the tamer is a sign it will be a messy fight, they sit back, out of its range with huge spread so they hit everything apart from the weak points causing the enraged meter to fill up VERY fast.
It's a big part of why I used the blue lion instead, sure it's half the dps, but atleast it hits what you are aiming at and doesn't enrage bosses, now using enduring legacy and stand closer.
A decent Tamer build works, enduring legacy is a finer choice a very good option
