Stop wasting capacity on over 25k DEF
Watch this demo of how useless more than 25k DEF is compared to HP

That video pulls the wrong conclusion.

You are good until 50-60k, after that you start hitting large diminishing returns.

What you want is a combination of both.

Generally a maxed out def and a maxed out health puts you in a good place.

Unless you are ajax, then there is a good argument to double up on def / hp mods.

Yes, player defence stats aren't working as intended. Shield 100% useless unless Kyle. elemental resist, for 95% of content you need no more than what you can get on external components. Def, more then 1 maxed out module doesn't help as 2 maxed out HP.

I hate meat shield tanking, but this broken system, thats all you can do.

Only dedicated tank descendants can get there, the rest 25-36k should be the target.

25k def is good but you need at 15k hp or more o.o Taking damage like a champ in hard intercept with Bunny while everyone else getting knocked out.

I run a gun/tank lepic. I see a noticeably damage change when I'm running 50k vs 80k. Yes having high health is very important but as will be pointed out defense and hp are heavily based on what char your playing and what you want to do. A meme skill lepic can run 20k defense and little health because they literally only fight for seconds and then hide for minutes. Generally with void raid you want min 50k defense + huge health. To many people don't have the proper comps to do it and in stead of changing out modules they lay on the floor. Half the reason i run the build I do it because I'm always picking people up. If your on the ground your doing zero dps and someone picking you up is also doing zero dps.

What I'd love is for people to figure out this stuff on their own finally. Because I'm really tired of dealing with people in Intercepts dying every few seconds. The very bare minimum you can do for your team is freaking survive. Your awesome DPS is meaningless if your teammates are having to stop firing to come revive you.

50 to 85k def is only about 2-3% less damage taken, instead of a second def mod, the flat damage reduction mods would serve you far better and make you far tougher.

None of my characters run Defense mods. Useless. HP all the way, and sometimes resistances for when you know you can't dodge everything, but i usually don't run any resist mods, 3k(from accessories) has been enough for all the hard bosses and i never need revive. Just dodge the mechanics.

flat damage reduction modules. Which ones are you referencing because I must have missed them.

edit if your talking about the antibody sets... no they only work on element defense and I run legendary stuff for that already which is better.

See you lost everyone by "just dodge the mechanics" comment. You mean the 100% fully tracking damage that you literally cannot dodge?

So you're the players I keep having to pick up consistently makes perfect sense now :steamfacepalm:

Valby is one of those with passive dps and rapid movement. Great for keepign dmg going and picking up teamates.

Yeah unless the boss has some nice spam and then shes on the ground as well. Some of that is noobs not judging argo correctly... still prefer not to have anyone then a tank or tank like build picking people up anywhere near a boss.

There are 4 purple mods that give flat damage reduction, not the elemental resist mods. The 2 that are considered the best give like -10% incoming damage and either a boost to hp or mp restoration depending on the one you choose. they're solid for tank builds

Valby can build tank, she has the highest base tank stats of the female descendants and her V gives 50% def and immunity to physic attacks. Plus her high mobility and her Z able to disable groups for a couple secs. Often times my tanky Valby is whats keeping the fight going.
