RNG baby.
38% means you can do it 100 times and dont have it.
I farmed the python parts and my longest try was 12 times.
I dont know why many must open a thread for this.
This is a grinder and i never had so many attemps to find some things i needed.
I would say its less than a soft grinder.
Here is the thing. If it drops then it drops, nothing else to say. But if it doesn't, you have to look at the probability.
I spent almost 10 hours farming just to get a single blueprint for an Ult Viessa part with 6% drop chance. That was roughly 80 runs.
There is a concept called Nearly Guaranteed number of runs. It is an estimation to determine how many runs it should take for an item to drop with 99%-99.99% probability. Note that it is not 100% and will never reach 100%, only close to as much as possible. That's how probability works.
For an item with 38% chance, Nearly Guaranteed is 15±5 runs. This means it should drop, at least once, between 10-20 runs.
For comparison, the Viessa part I want has Nearly Guaranteed of 116±39 runs (77 to 155 runs). So, my 80 runs is also in line with probability.
If it still doesn't drop beyond this point... it means you are really unlucky with the part. But it will eventually drop for you if you don't give up.
I know it's really frustrating, but what else can we do except pressuring the Dev to improve these drop rates?
