Go onto your map, switch to hard mode (press R on PC) and then go into the focused farming menu (press F on PC) This will show you a list of currently avialable focused farming items for this week (it rotates each week). Use the filters to narrow it down to what you are looking for. If the reactor you are wanting is on rotation (say electric singular general rounds) click it and it will take you to the map of the area you can farm that reactor in. Enter that area and do any mission in the area. All enemies in that zone have a chance to drop the focused farming item
Outside of this, say in normal mode there is no way to farm one specifically in the open world. Any monster in any mission has a very small chance to drop any type of reactor with any stat on it. The closes thing you can do is play specific missions that list a specific reactor as an end mission reward
edit - If you are not yet at hard mode, I would not even bother trying to farm reactors for your character. Every time you progress in the story you will be getting things drop that are a higher level that whatever you farmed. Quickly whatever you farmed will become obsolete. During normal mode you should be focusing on upgrading your modules to increase your damage. Only once you hit hard mode should you focus farm components, as they will all be level 100 which is the max level
For the most part that shouldn't be needed on NM.
Also as a small side info: I think normal mode has a generally higher chance of dropping all kinds of random reactors everywhere, while on HM their droplocations are more specific.
1. I know electric singular are the reactor types. But what does ammo like general rounds mean?
Reactors get outdated rather fast. I think that is the reason most just post hard mode since it is cap. I assume you are going for her kit damage, that is why you are getting a tingling mixture.
Try your best to get to hard mode. It is an easier farm for reactors.
