Amidst the craze... let's talk GUN SOUNDS, eh?
With everyone being so busy talking about nerfs and Bunny and whatnot... Let's talk about GUN SOUNDS here for a sec!

Divine Punishment... This assault rifle does not sound like a gun at all. The moment I fire it, instantly a mental image comes to mind... A bunny - as in, the animal - quickly drumming its front paws on some empty/hollow plastic object. Like a box or something. Yup. The gun-shots from Divine Punishment sound like a bunny tapping paws on a hollow plastic box. XD

Next, Python... That thing for sure can be called this game's "Typewriter". Yup, just like Tommy-gun... just in this case, every shot legit sounds like a key-stroke of an actual typewriter, rather than a gunshot.

Red Wolf pistol has a very weird first shot, almost soundlike like it's some semi-auto scout rifle rather than a pistol. A very loud "whiplash" with an echo... But only on the first shot. If you keep holding the trigger, it keeps on firing full-auto (which i find to be a dumb trait of all pistols in the game btw) and sounds like broken down car's starter attempting to start the engine, but failing to do so, over and over... Again, doesn't even remotely sound like a gunshot at all.

And quite a few other guns sound "weird" too... What do you think? Any other "honorable mentions" of weird sounding guns from your experience?

I guess all these sounds are taken from the free base, like many other things in this game.:sunekosuri:

Most shotguns sound like they are firing air instead of buckshot. :re3charlie:

Most infuriating of all is the Sonic Co-Op rifle, which they clearly copied from the VSS (Vintovka Snaiperskaya Specialnaya), with a distinctive silencer that sounds like a heavy machine gun used against lightly armored vehicles :steamfacepalm:

Python from anyone's ears but your own, sounds like an A-10 warthog. I use the enduring legacy specifically because I like how it sounds lol.

Actually, yeah, I noticed this too. Guns in your hands and the same gun in someone else's hands sounds absolutely different.

Gley's massacre pistol hits sound like someone droping turds in a toilet.

For the longest time I thought it had to be someone using a python with a bugged/extreme fire rate but no, the sound design is just that bad on gley's 4th ability from a third person perspective. It sounds better when you're the gley holding the pistol but not by a whole lot.

The shotguns are the worst shotgun sound I've heard in any game I've played. They learned nothing from boomer shooters. Shameful.

the blue beetle sounds crazy.

every shot sounds weird, then if you stop shooting the cooldown on it (or whatever it is) sounds like a computer alarm

drives me crazy
