Kyle Needs Rework!
Kyle, one of the most intriguing characters in The First Descendant, possesses an incredible potential that has yet to be fully realized. With his distinctive Iron Man-like appearance, complete with a bulky suit and captivating magnetic abilities, Kyle seems poised to be a standout character in the game. However, despite his promising design, many players have found his kit lacking in several critical areas, which ultimately diminishes the overall experience of playing as him. It's time to delve into why Kyle needs a comprehensive rework to unlock his true potential and enhance the enjoyment of his gameplay.

Aesthetics vs. Practicality: The Cool Factor vs. Combat Efficacy
Kyle's visual design is undeniably impressive. His armored suit and magnetic powers give off a powerful, tech-savvy vibe that immediately draws players in. The idea of controlling a character with such advanced technology is exciting, and the concept of manipulating magnetic forces adds a unique twist to the gameplay. However, when it comes to actual combat, the excitement quickly fades. While his abilities may look cool, they often fail to deliver the desired impact in battle. The discrepancy between his appearance and practical utility is one of the main reasons why Kyle needs a rework.

The Ultimate Letdown: Unreliable Performance
One of the most glaring issues with Kyle is his ultimate ability, which should be the pinnacle of his power. Unfortunately, this ability is plagued by inconsistencies, especially at certain HP levels. Players have reported numerous instances where the ultimate fails to activate properly or does not perform as expected. This bug not only disrupts the flow of gameplay but also leaves players feeling frustrated and underwhelmed. A rework of Kyle's ultimate is essential to ensure it functions reliably and delivers the game-changing impact that ultimate abilities are meant to provide.

The Tank Conundrum: Defense vs. Offense
In many games, tank characters play a crucial role in absorbing damage and protecting their teammates. However, in The First Descendant, the value of tanking is often overshadowed by the need for offensive capabilities. Kyle's current design leans heavily toward defense, which unfortunately doesn't align with the game's meta. Stacking defensive stats feels like a waste of resources when players could instead focus on increasing their attack power. This imbalance makes Kyle less appealing compared to other characters who can deal more damage and contribute more effectively to team fights.

The Need for Enhanced Offense and Versatility
To truly make Kyle shine, it's crucial to rework his abilities to provide more offensive options. This means boosting the power of his weapons and abilities to make him a viable damage dealer. Additionally, Kyle could benefit from a reimagined skill set that allows for greater versatility in combat. Perhaps incorporating more magnetic-based offensive moves or crowd-control abilities could give him the edge he needs to compete with other characters. By focusing on enhancing his offensive capabilities, Kyle could become a more well-rounded character, capable of both dealing damage and surviving on the battlefield.

The Movement Dilemma: Speed and Agility
Another area where Kyle falls short is in his movement speed and agility. His bulky suit, while visually impressive, hampers his mobility. In a game where quick reflexes and rapid positioning are key, Kyle's sluggish movements can be a significant disadvantage. Increasing his speed and agility would not only make him more fun to play but also allow players to better utilize his abilities in combat. A faster, more nimble Kyle would be able to dodge incoming attacks, reposition more effectively, and generally feel more responsive to player inputs.

Conclusion: Unlocking Kyle's True Potential
Kyle has all the makings of a fantastic character in The First Descendant, but he is currently held back by several design and gameplay issues. From his inconsistent ultimate ability to the lack of offensive power and slow movements, Kyle needs a comprehensive rework to align his gameplay with the excitement of his design. By addressing these issues, developers can transform Kyle into a character who is not only visually appealing but also a powerful and versatile asset in battle. The community of The First Descendant deserves a Kyle who lives up to his potential, and with the right changes, he can become a true powerhouse and a fan-favorite in the game.

someone here doesn't know that kyle can get 20,000,000 damage on skill crits and it shows.

*did not read it all*
Love the concept of kyle, felt like a Magneto by the description, and then you look at the abilities. Needless to say, I was disappointed

The problem is most male character in this game have much weaker design compare to female characters.
Ajax and Kyle, nice looking armor and cool description, but if you ask anyone who's not playing they would think their power comes form the suit.
Enzo and Jayber both kit like a very basic sic-fi tech-out operator. What's their super-power again?
Lepic and Esiemo, demolition expert with tech-out gears.
Only Yujin and Blair have a bit more feeling of super-power, but you could still say they looks like operators with tech-out gear.

On the other hand, we have BloodmageBerserker, mobile toxic cauldron, mobile electric storm and water bender that can free dive any surface.

I only levelled Kyle to 40 and then benched him primarily cause I didn't fancy wasting resources on him if an ultimate version of him is down the line. Sharen is the only exception for me due to her use in outposts. As a result I can't really compare him to other descendants especially ones I had spent activators and catalysts on.

So what I found Kyle thus far has been the one character I had least fun leveling. I thought Ajax was bad, but Kyle takes the cake! Like every other descendant with a special resource it isn't super intuitive to truly utilise his kit. At first I was trying endlessly to block with his #2 but that is a bit pointless in a group as little survives long enough to even turn their attention on Kyle to even shoot at. So Ended up spending most of his time trying to ram people with his #1 to build up his resource. His 1 and 4 like the OP states, is problematic when it comes to targetting anything, cause you can flat out miss most of the time. So generating his special resource was just a pain in the rear!

So my utilisation of his special resource is already limited that I rarely used his 4, maybe less than a dozen times by the time I hit level 40, His 3 I used a bit more often but usually when reviving someone to buy myself more time whilst being shot at. The only issue is that both his last two abilities need you to have built up his special resource to use and given the jankiness of generating it, it felt really messy.

Now as I indicated, I have not fully explored Kyle's potential because I wasn't willing to waste activators and catalysts on him if an ultimate version is released later down the line. But with that in mind, compared to other non ultimate descendants, he really need you to sit and read about his abilities before you can really jump in to kit and use effectively.

Unlike someone like Bunny, Kyle needs a bit of skill and familiarity with his kit to generate his special resource and I feel this comparison is the heart of the problem with Kyle's kit as a whole. Bunny you just move around, no skill required!

I don't have Kyle yet but everytime i fought a Colossi with a Kyle on my team, Kyle was DBNO most of the fight.
The one time i saw a Kyle doing something that got me like ''oh, nice, that's cool.'' was when someone was picking me up and this Kyle stepped in front of us and casted a cool shield.
Then the Colossi attack completely ignored the shield and we got wiped because we were in the same position and then got me like ''bruh''.
It felt like a paper shield against a flame thrower.

The only issue i have with Kyle is getting his special resource can be hard sometimes when other characters are AOE killing everything. I think Kyle is not a true tank, he is whats called a bruiser. His purpose is to harass enemies and and take on the elites and stronger enemies while other characters DPS. As for his DPS and solo ability I have had zero issues in this department. I played the entire story with Kyle. He is quite different in that you need to have decent shields and add skill crit mod. His flying attack is a bit buggy indoors especially if you hit the ceiling. I suggest not geting more than 25k defense and get as much HP can you can with some shields. Some of his skills are based on your max shield. Use his number 1 ability or Q to keep his defense buff up and knock enemies away from other people.
