For special ops and defence runs, she is amazing. Think Splatoon. With proper mod setup, not only the pools are pretty large, they remain there longer and aid mowing down mobs. Flexible modding, so you can make her tanky, you can make her a skill spammer (this was the setup for Valby run actually, not that you needed much spamming besides water slide), or she can become a heavy crit machine, both skills and weaponry. She is more about prolonged dot dmg in general with her skills, so she isn't much onto the burst department (Viessa does that way better). Her 4th skill is more mob oriented than for colossi, so in general reliable character, but if you are looking for a colossus nuker other descendants perform better.
She's good when she's built. Like pretty much every character :P
I have been holding off putting catalysts on my Valby until Ult is out, gonna build her fully
I'd rank her as S tier for farming and A tier for bosses. I actually prefer her and think she's better than bunny at times for farming.
Only place Bunny shines over her is speed farming dungeons. But if you're farming a spot you just cover it in water everywhere and all your skills have seperate DoT's so you can stack them. Though that's overkill because my water glide crits 70% of the time for 400k which is more than enough for any farm trash.
Now for bosses, to be honest, is her biggest weakness for her skills and where I feel bunny has an edge. Simply because her skills only apply to the ground so won't proc on anything floating above them while bunnies can just jump around and their AOE will hit anything.
Good example is: Obstructor boss spawns floating orbs you have to kill to not wipe and you can't do anything with your skills to them. But that's fine because she just becomes more like a gun class for bosses.
Like other guy said her supply moisture skill module is OP. You just throw a bubble bullet on the ground and stand on your water and your gun will crit like crazy. My thundercage is critting 61% of the time when I'm on water and that's one of the most garbage guns for critting lol.
Best part is they are buffing her even more in a few days and I believe it is to make her DoT's hit even harder. So it's a good time to be a Valby main.
Anything she touches takes more NA and Electric damage.
She has excellent mobility, CC and grouping if you know how to utilise her launcher.
Just a great all round character tbh.
why do you think valby has the biggest chance of having an actual use in the upcoming raid in december?
but other than that valby is pretty strong for bosses and good for some farms
she is not useless at all.. i would put her in a similar spot as gley
i would say it is bunny S tier for farming, lepic S tier for bosses
gley and and valby A tier
and then the rest
Dunno about December and raids, but the intro post for Ult Valby specifically calls out that the new transmod for her launcher has a specific interaction with the Colossi coming with her.
uh..but the question is if it is better than supply moisture.. because i cant believe it is, supply moisture is too good already
In all honestly, I think that after Bunny become the face of the game, Valby got all the love as the second.
