How do you make Massacre fire faster?

I'm not sure what makes the fast fire rate proc, but it felt more like an automatic weapon when using it earlier, but I have NO idea how it even happened. It doesn't matter how I click the mouse button or hold it down, I can't seem to replicate it.

I'm on my third prestige run for Ultimate Gley and this is the first time it has happened, so I was just curious why it happened or how it occurred. I tried googling, but literally NOBODY is asking about this or talking about it, treating it like it's a normal thing, I guess, lol.

Massacre like a few other skills is based off the current weapon your holding when you activate it allowing some mods to kinda "transfer" over to it

example: your using thunder cage with Firing Fiesta mod on it you empty your mag reload it to trigger fiesta immediately hit Massacre and now your massacre has 3 secs of unlimited ammo

so it could have been you triggered a mod on your weapon before activating massacre and it carried over

its based on what weapon you are currently equipped with when you press the skill button

the only thing that comes to mind is Sharp Precision Shot on my Sonic Co-op

the fire rate increases the more you fire it, along with the attack power, but the effect is disabled once you stop firing or reload, so I'm not sure how that would transfer to Massacre

massacre uses the fire rate from the gun you are holding when you use it btw....if you have equipped a red mod i think 2 of them make it a standard fire rate that can't be altered...in those cases it's better to be holding a sniper rifle to maximize it's damage...or an r4 rocket launcher...something like that.

okay, so it looks more like I just activated it after using my Tamer and that's probably what triggered the fire rate

the tooltip doesn't even explain this, so it would've been nice to know how or why this was happening, lol

It's something warframe players are used to understanding mechanically. Exalted and pseudo exalted weapons as well as "stat sicks" being a thing to understand and build/play around with in that. It also applies to jay-bars baseline 3.

Massacre CAN benefit from a lot of ultimate tier special gun mods also. Though I wouldn't recommend firing fiesta over the damage buffing ones if you have high duration low cooldown built on gley for the build.
